Born to Cheryl Harris & Bernette Murphy July 25th, 1991. As the baby of 9, and son to a 1970's platter it is no surprise he caught the singing bug. Vegaz knew at an early age what his future had in store for him. His church upbringing would mold him into the man & record artist he is today. Vegaz's career started his sophomore year in high school with a production company based out of Joliet, IL. From the age of 16 to 20, he recording original music and working on artist development. It wasn't until 2011 that he made the big move to Los Angeles, CA to further his career. This is really when he began to discover his artistic identity. At this point Vegaz made the move alone, peacefully serving ties with the production company and starting from scratch as a self managed independent artist.

Finding inspiration in all art forms since a early age, Vegaz has been influenced by all the great entertainers before his time. Using live instrumentation, dance, and visual art to create a great live experience. All these are key elements in what Vegaz does. This lead him to a degree in music business, and web graphics. He is also a self-taught video editor. This knowledge has allowed him to wear multiple hats in building his brand. Musically Vegaz has a distinct song that works on a wide variety of genres. Using his church background and love for music, to merge genres and create a authentic sound. All of these elements have allowed Vegaz to truly carve out his own path, and tell his story through art. With hopes of being one of the first to represent the city he came from.
