To ring in the 10th release on Repertoire we're revisiting two of the first tunes to appear on the label - Sophine / Emptiness Is Form. On remix duties are Repertoire's own Law & Wheeler, and fresh from his successful outing on Rupture LDN: Outer Heaven.

A) Law - Sophine (Law & Wheeler Remix)
Law & Wheeler re-work Sophine into an even lusher ode to the 1995 era Good Looking sound. Atmospheric pads and female vocals take you up, whilst crushing amen edits and heavy bass give the track a hard edge.

B) Law - Emptiness Is Form (Outer Heaven Remix)
Taking on the "Ghost Dog" sampling "Emptiness Is Form", Outer Heaven's signature break work is on full display here. Pounding amens and snarling bass take centre stage alongside machine-gun percussion.

Release 10 represents a landmark for the Repertoire label, so we’ve gone all out with a full artwork sleeve which depicts two important places in Watton-at-Stone (the birthplace of Moving Shadow), where Law and Wheeler spent their formative years.

The front cover shot shows the village station, which still, after 25 years, proudly displays the 2 Bad Mice graffiti over the railway bridge.

The reverse shows a bench at the end of the village high-street where Law & Wheeler would sit and watch the world go by, listening to the likes of Nookie, Hyper-On-Experience, Blame, Foul Play and Deep Blue blasting out of a Sony Walkman.

Our first release of 2017 sets things off with deadly introduction, as we proudly welcome another first – the debut EP from Bristol based Kyrist, coincidentally this happens to be our first ever female solo release on Dispatch.

Causing a ruckus thus far with a string of gritty, yet groove filled singles and remixes, the ‘Venomous EP’ is the pinnacle of Kyrist’s work to date, featuring four superb tracks that shows her diversity in production, but really showcasing her bread and butter – those screwface steppers we’ve come to love, earning the support of S.P.Y., Ant TC1, Zero T, Kasra and Survival so far.

‘Venomous EP’ shuffles through hard hitting grooves, both infectious and rebellious in the mid ranges, uncompromising on the low ends (see title track ‘Venomous’), perfectly equipped for dark rooms with large rigs, and firm favourites at recent Dispatch events, such as ‘Tectonicz’.

On a deeper tip, Kyrist also enlists Irish soulster Steo for a vocal performance in ‘Find A Meaning’, aided in expressing a more soulful side we’ve not previously seen from her, yet still keeping that sharper edge to it.

For our final release of 2016, we are proud to have reached our milestone 100th Dispatch release, marking the occasion with a Various Artists’ compilation featuring some of our favourite producers from the past and present.

Celebrating some of the artists that have moulded the label today, whilst simultaneously showcasing upcoming talent, the album is split into two parts – the ‘Future Blueprint’; including original / newly remixed music from the likes of DLR, Skeptical, Gerra, Stone & Cern and the ‘Past Blueprint’; a selection of our best loved cuts from over the years, with numerous showings from Survival, Break and Zero T, plus classics from A.I., Marcus Intalex and Duo Infernale.

Reflecting on how the label and artists have developed together in time, further names appear on both Parts 1 & 2, including Script (on ‘Sahara’ with Survival and also the classic ‘Set Up The Set’) and label boss Ant TC1, alongside Chris SU and Stress Level first for ‘Waves’ and now, remixing Nymfo’s ‘Coming Through’ with Seattle duo Quadrant & Iris.

With special thanks to all the fans, press and DJs that have supported us over the years, we are thrilled to have made it to a century of releases; with so much good music around today, we look forward to sharing our plans for 2017 and on.

Vortex is a new collaborative project from Toronto artists David Louis (Repertoire), Stranjah (Critical, 117, Deviant Audio), Groves and Captivate and the team's love of the classic jungle sound is evident on this release; old school pad sounds, chunky breaks and a 90s aesthetic, while taking advantage of the modern production techniques that give D&B it's punch in 2017.
