My Evening Star - ukrainian trad. song

Vocal trio "Lebedy" (the Swans) from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada released this LP in the mid 70's.  The trio consisted of Oksana Rohatyn (alto), Dana Kozemchuk (2nd soprano), Joanne Kolomyjec (soprano) with Peter Kosyk playing accompaniment on the Ukrainian bandura.  This song was composed by Ukrainian composer Ihor Shamo and arranged for bandura by Peter Kytasty.

     This Ukrainian Christmas Carol was performed and recorded live by bandurist Marko Farion during the Detroit Concert Choir's Christmas concert on 12/16/2001 and can be found on DCC's Christmas CD "Christmas Gloria!".   More information on the DCC can be found on www.detroitconcertchoir.org.
