dO iT nOw Recordings makes its debut in the world of vinyl with a various artists' sampler that shows just what they are all about. First up is Pigsie's wonderful 'Silk' which sets a fine tone with lush jazz-inspired keys, dreamy pads and intricate drum work that make it well suited to those late-night sessions. Wearing Shoes then offers 'Finding Your Words' with buttery Rhodes licks and looped vocals over fat bass, and the B-side begins with Michael Oberling and his deep jazz grooves, trumpet solos and swinging drums. Massive R closes with the lovely, jazzy house of 'This Feeling' complete with snappy drums and a catchy piano hook.

I never thought any of this would happen and it was amazing to work with you all to create such a variety of music on the album. I can't express in words how awesome this experience was. I hope you all enjoy the album and it makes you want to dance and have a good time! The goal of this album was to hit every sound that is within the Future Funk/French House genres whether it's the old school sound or new school I wanted to have it all. I love all of you and thank you for all of the support you have given me. Lastly this album is dedicated to everyone who has a love for French House and Future Funk, this is for you.

FLIPSIDE (ft. Childhood)

Fresh on the trail of this year’s exceptional long player ‘Noir’, Steve Bug returns with perhaps his most deep house-oriented track in a while – ‘The Long Run’.

Teaming up with US house legend Mr. V, who inititally donated vocals only, the collaboration brought up Mr V‘s own interpretation of Bug‘s track. This release is as delicious a serving of classic New York deep house as you will hear all year – or any year.

Dessous’ main man is at the controls, riding out a sumptuous, Rhodes-driven groove that references golden era Kerri Chandler and friends, but remains completely rooted in 2012. Mr V’s spoken word vocal lays out the manifesto for these two house pioneers – both are committed to quality music, made with passion and respect.

Next stop on ‘The Long Run’ is Mr. V’s stunning take on the same track. Ratcheting up the percussive elements, the New York native injects hints of the Latin rhythms that define many of his productions, making this into a stone-cold club banger whatever the party.

Both tracks come with corresponding instrumental versions for the DJs, rounding out this irresistible release that continues Dessous’ outstanding run of releases this year.
