Ben Gomori aka London-based producer and label chief G.Markus channels a vibrantly ethereal sound in his Square Peg, Round Hole EP, consisting of two sun-soaked house rollers. Opener Choom kicks off with a titillating crescendo, padded by warm vocals and a chunky bassline. Acid glitches add dance appeal, while keeping the melody afloat in an upbeat manner. Karumi is a slice of luscious piano house, with scintillating pads and an overall dreamy atmosphere. All in all two tracks to melt off any tensions and get feet moving at any time of the day or night.

Garpo:

Árpád Gergácz aka Garpo, born in 1979 in Göd, Hungary, is one of the most significant characters of the dub techno scene in Hungary.

He began playing drums in his teenage years. His first encounters with electronic music were in the mid 90s, bought his first vinyl in 1998, started mixing and in 2003 he already had his own radio show on the most respected Hungarian underground music station called Tilos Radio.

His musical taste drove him towards dub techno and techno and stayed with 4/4 beats all along his carrier. In addition to his frequent appearences in the club scene of Budapest, he is also an active organiser of open-air underground parties.

Garpo currently continues to express his dedication and passion to techno music in Budapest. You can find him playing in radio stations as well as parties in different clubs throughout the country.

Now stepping out on his own with the help of @JKriv on production duties he has delivered a bubbling slice of hook laden deep soulful house which also features Dave Giles II alongside him on vocals. A fierce bassline, which adds grit to the soul, and laser synths both perfectly frame the incredible vocal talents for which he is rapidly becoming renowned for.

Our premier today see's @Crackazat on remix duties taking the track of in deliciously soulful territory with his trademark jazzy flourishes giving it a whole different sumptuous feel.

Maltese producer Melchior Sultana's sumptuous 'Self Reflection' is one of the best house albums in ages, brimming with delicious melody and deep moods. 'Module' is one of my favourites, propelled by a Mr. Fingersy bass throb and a punchy deep techno rhythm, it's awash with hazy synths, lush melody and trippy automation. Excellent.

Together with keyboardist Stevie Christie, bass-man Cameron Bradley and percussionist Paulo Riddle they served up a deep, warm and jazzy basement house workout. 

In order to increase the musical value we got something special on this version.  Here Craig teams up with his Scottish soul brother Ricky Reid for a remix under their Soul Renegades moniker with a big-stringed late night house fanfare. It kinda reminds us of those tasteful and melodic deep house productions coming out of Italy in the mid/late 90's...think Don Carlos :)

The guest for this Meoko podcast is someone we can’t hide we are long-time fans of. Nima Gorji is back in the series with a new podcast, and it is no secret that we love his deep and groovy minimal style - Nima never disappointed us and we didn’t expect him to this time either.

Despite having origin from Iran, his musical roots are in Copenhagen, where he held his first residency in 95, at Rust Club, one of the best underground clubs in the city at the time. Nowadays when Nima Gorji is not staying in Ibiza to work on his music he is probably touring intensively in the best clubs and festivals around the world. We believe this mix undoubtedly shows his experience in building up a groove and his various influences. 

Impress in an hour and half is not easy - yet almost immediately we smile and have fun while Nima is dragging us deeper on the recording. By combining obscure and deeper track with bouncy Ibiza tech styles (we are thinking, for example, of the Fuse release 'Rich Nxt - Serious', played around the end of the mix) the outcome is amusing to say the least, with the only downside of leaving us ready with a party mood, and craving for more.
