Thuggery Fridays 2

As a first Thuggery Friday Bonus I am just puttin' Residuals Verse Challenge (s/o Tank) version that contains additional verse written by me, but this time it sounds way better than live version I shared from my Instagram. And I don't need to add anything new here - I just followed the topic and cause I had similar but not that big experience dealing with breakup it inspired me to write this verse. Some entendres and playing with rhyme schemes are included, hope y'all gon' catch them.

Residuals (Chris Brown Extended Cover) (Soundcloud Voice Memo Version) (Thuggery Fridays Bonus)

I think this is fully official start of spring/summer Thuggery Fridays cycle. Rules for this one will be kinda different - almost R&B, rarely pop or other genres, and if it is possible obviously one artist song per cycle, when my cover album will drop in the summer I give myself an opportunity to reset the cycle once (I mean making second cover of particular artist, e.g. The Weeknd Twenty Eight and his other song in reset). Schedules ain't changin' - one cover per Friday or per second Friday in sudden accidents. Two songs per Friday comin' with new project or new single for the album.

As second one and first that ain't on project I give The Weeknd's Twenty Eight. Top 3 songs from the Trilogy/House Of Balloons song for me with this classic, dark XO energy, and it got true emotions and pain to share. Hope my version will sound good for y'all, probably it is my favorite Abel's cover that I made, cause previous ones have some issues, even Shameless, that is one of my popular cover. Check all this, Grammy EP and other stuff.

PS. I am super glad that Y'all streamed so much Grammy EP, especially both versions of Residuals, over 230 plays on version with my Challenge verse, over 220 on just cover of this, I can't believe that this still got so much plays, big love for all of y'all <3

Twenty Eight (The Weeknd Cover) (Voice Memo Version)

Thuggery Fridays this time presents cover of most recent Trey Songz song - his generally comeback after years of not releasing anything - Lonely. Kinda sad and emotional tone, that was created in this song made me thinkin' about making my version of this one, especially that I didn't have any Trigga song covered yet. Troy Taylor (u da GOAT) went nice on this beat, like usual (fact that he makes beats since 90's is unbelieveable) and that it makes good ass comeback song. Hope Y'all gon; like this one, if somethin' ain't okay, gimme sum advices in comments. Halfcrazy Over incoming + my new project is coming slowly but I make moves about it.

Lonely (Trey Songz Cover) (Voice Memo Version)

This TF was supposed to be released one week ago and Twenty Eight today, but some health issues didn't let me make the cover for Somethin' Tells Me. But here it is, probably my favorite Bryson Tiller song from True To Self and generally one of his best songs. With nice ass beat from legendary T-Minus. And it was an occasion to try different voice range on this one, 'cause my general deeper voice that I use in most covers I think it would sound muddy on this particular song. Somethin' Tells Me (Bryson Tiller Cover) (Soundcloud Voice Memo Version)

I fuckin' love K-Ci & JoJo's Love Always album, literally zero skips in this one. This album contains song called Love Ballad, that is sung by K-Ci - such a perfect performance with great lyrics. But I discovered it is not original song, and this one is just cover by R&B, soul band LTD. Kinda strange that I discovered cover before the original song. And this one, damn, it's such a masterpiece. And it doesn't steal a slot for Jodeci/K-Ci & JoJo for Thuggery Fridays. I definitely should check on more of these vibes.

Alongside Kinna Right cover I am presentin at same time cover for well known Tyrese classic - How You Gonna Act Like That. Every R&B fan knows this song, me too and I love this shit too. Good creative effects were used in original song, Tyrese sung the fuck out on this track when he gets more emotional, The Underdogs with classic R&B sound from 2000's were amazing too.
