You know that long hot days are fast approaching when it is Brazilian music that you crave. Thankfully the Scruniversal has got us covered with a second release that is as scorching as the first. It pairs MPB, samba and Latin flair with hard-edged hip-hop and funk stylings across a pair of tunes from Scruscru, each one a different collaboration. The first is alongside Tony Lavrutz and has gorgeous vocals and organic percussion paired with cut-up beats and jazzy keys that will ignite any floor on 'Rave Du Brazil.' It is Los Protos's jazz funk groover 'Primavera' that gets the good vibes going on the flip.

The 72nd outing on Dam Swindle’s label Heist Recordings comes from House Music’s poster girl and Elevate-founder Cinthie, who delivers three original tracks varying between classic Deep House and (piano driven) House with a slightly Italo-House note or basically genres the Berliner feels home at. Cinthie’s House-potpourri follows the name of Musique for Discotheques and seems to be a homage to the music and the scene the artist has been representing for her entire career, just that the four tracker - legendary Italian producer St. David gives Piano Heaven his own twist - hits close(r) when enjoyed over the summer, whether in a sweaty discotheque or under the blue sky. The original version of Piano Heaven is built upon, in good ole’ Cinthie-style, a 909 bassline. However, it is the track’s infectious key-arrangement, which creates peak time moments on the floor, with the break doing its best to have luscious hands-up-in-the-air episodes. Ultimately Musique for Discotheques is not only another piece in Cinthie’s House-puzzle but the missing piece for 2023 and it has finally arrived.

The time has come, we hit exactly 20 years since the launch of Dirt Crew Recordings back in 2004. An incredible journey lays behind us with so many discovered artists and even more amazing tunes we first heard as demo and brought to life either on Wax, CD or Digital. As we never look back too much we decided to not give you another “Best of” but instead drop 15 brand new tunes by early and more recent artists that have released with us in these past years.
