Raised in Buffalo New York, Toney can give a plethora of musical taste. With inspiration in church and instrumental music ToneyBoi's not a stranger to sound. Formally part of Koolie High, the Group took inner city buffalo by storm and landed a deal with independent label Nickel City Records in 2013. Koolie High has graced the stage with French Montana, Smiff N Wessun, Joe Budden, MGK, King Chip, Odd Future, Mr. MFN Exquire, Ground Up, Chief Keef, Chali Tuna and many more. In 2015, Toney left buffalo to get his degree in the Recording Arts and graduated from Full Sail University in 2017 as one of the top students. Returning home, he linked up with Griselda producer Camo Monk to start the collective Art Dealer, which has had success locally and globally. Now a professional engineer, Toney has recorded, mixed, produced or rapped for a lot of the Underground Hip Hop scene and Buffalo's best emcees & producers. Being a historian of the culture, he was able to work with University of Buffalo to document Hip Hop history with his podcast "Outside Influence". Time will only tell what he will do next!

The Jay/Sharptet enjoys performing music with a focus on original compositions and arrangements. Inspired by ensembles such as the great Miles Davis Quintets they strive to approach every tune with a unique interpretation.
