In hour 2, he welcomed special guests 7T8s @7t8s.
7T8s are Emma & Adrian, a husband and wife DJ duo based in South Wales. Their style brings a fusion of classic house anthems, soul, funk, and disco. With a deep-rooted passion for music, 7T8s love for the clubbing scene began in the 90s, where they absorbed themselves in diverse music genres such as hardcore, garage, jungle, drum and bass, house and techno. This range of influences has shaped their musical identity that is the hallmark of their sound and is a testimony to their genuine love of house music.  They delivered a truly high-energy, uplifting disco-infused guest mix that had us captivated from start to finish. Enjoy!!

The January edition of my monthly “Snapshot” mix series, which recently celebrated its premiere on Radio Z 95.8 Nuremberg. This time, the focus is increasingly on two of my personal favorite labels labels from England, which celebrated round anniversaries in 2024: First Word Records (20 years), and Wah Wah 45s (25 years). In addition, there are a few more of my recent musical discoveries.
The sound ranges somewhere between downtempo, hip hop, neo soul, soul jazz, nu jazz, broken beat and afro house.

DJ and radio host on Radio Z 95.8 Nuernberg/Germany (Radioshows “Limbo Rhythm” and “Headz”).

As DJ he has performed since 1992 in the Franconian surroundings, however, also in Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria… Moreover he was booked for events such as the IFA International Radio Exhibition Berlin and the biggest European Youth Fair “YOU”, also in Berlin.
Dr.Best himself considers his roots in the Hip Hop Sound of the early 80’s to the mid 90’s, but he also dealt with other styles such as Funk, Soul, Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, Big Beat, House, Drum & Bass and Breakbeat. Over a couple of years he has been known in the German Clubscene as a Breakbeat-DJ, then in 2006, however, his style started to mutate… Styles such as Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Reggae, Latin, Afrobeat and Disco got mixed with his Breakbeat Sound and created a new mixture which cannot be easily tagged any more.
