Charlie Berens is known for bringing his midwestern perspective to the world of comedy. Since he introduced the Manitowoc Minute over 6 years ago he has been delighting fans with stories and jokes. He just finished the Good Old Fashioned Tour, and he was nice enough to stop by the show! Charlie and Doc talk about Good Old Fashioned drinks, supper clubs, starting out being a journalist, wanting to be a musician, finding the Manitowoc Minute, his Grandpa Bob, his new special and much much more! Steve Trevino has been doing stand-up as his career for the last 28 years! It hasn't been easy along the way. He had his first special in 2012 on Showtime called Grandpa Joe's Son. then in 2014 he funded his own special Relatable that he ultimately sold to Netflix. His most recent special Simple Man has racked up millions of views on Netflix. Over the last 28 years he's learned to tune out the "industry" and focus on making his viewers laugh. Steve is currently on the Good Life Tour and was nice enough to stop by the Doc G Show! Doc, Mike and Steve, talk about starting out in comedy, finding Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, getting a showtime special, creating his own Netflix Special, going viral on social media, coaching his kid's sports, new special material and much more! He just released a group of covers called “Scattered, Smothered Covers”. And he played some shows in Florida! He was nice enough to stop by the show! Doc and Drake talk about playing different sized arenas, becoming a dad for the second time, playing Roanoke for the first time after his stroke, deciding to release covers, new music and much more! UB40 is one of the most famous reggae bands in the entire world and they've been performing for over 4 decades! Jimmy Brown was one of the founding members back in 1978. They got their big break when they opened for The Pretenders in 1979. They hit international success with Red Red Wine and Can't Help Falling in Love. They're going across America with the Relentless tour, and before it started Jimmy was nice enough to stop by the show! Doc and Jimmy talk about time off from touring, weed in Humboldt county, Ozzy's connection to Birmingham, Stevie Wonder's impact on the band, touring with the Pretender's, recording their first album and so much more!
