As always, the Boss RC-300 acted as the MIDI clock master to the Arturia MicroBrute, the Beatkangz Beat Thang and my humble Eurorack. The main beat comes from the Beat Thang, with additional percussive elements coming from the combination of the Eurorack modules "Turing Machine" and "LxD", starting at around 3:19. 

The samples heard throughout this track come from the stock audio library of the module "Radio Music", which includes the Bulgarian folk song "Izlel Ye Delyo Haydutin" by Valya Balkanska. This song was featured on the Voyager Golden Records, two gold plated records which were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft that were launched in 1977.

The combination of the Turing Machine with its expander modules Volts and Pulses and the Radio Music allowed for that interesting chopping effects on the vocals which came as a surprise to me in the middle of the jam session. As @Mylarmelodies suggested in one of his Youtube videos, you simply have to record at all times when using Eurorack, because every now and then, there is that insteresting random moment that occurs simply by chance and you go like "shit, I can't do that again, ever".

As usual, the jam session was highly improvisational in nature and was recorded via a no-name on-board soundcard into Audacity. Afterwards, the bests parts from this jam session were picked and put together into this track using basic audio editing techniques. Apart from a slight soft limiting, no effects or mastering were added.

Today for FREE MUSIC MONDAY we are channelling nothing but summery disco vibes thanks to Ben Pearce and his track 'Patticakes' which features samples from the legendary Quincy Jones' track 'Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me'.  The Manchester producer runs  the underground label Purp&Soul and late last year he released his "What I Might Do" EP on Chase & Status' label MTA.
