Es gibt Orte auf dieser Welt, die erst von wenigen Menschen gesehen wurden oder die von der Zivilisation noch gänzlich unberührt sind. Diese Orte beherbergen oft ein einzigartiges ökologisches System und beflügeln so die Fantasie mancher Autoren.
Eine dieser Gegenden ist der Roraima-Tepui, ein 2.810 Meter hoher Tafelberg, der sich im Dreiländereck zwischen Venezuela, Brasilien und Guyana befindet. Erst 1884 bestieg ein britischer Forsche den Berg. Vorher haben Aberglaube und Gerüchte Menschen davon abgehalten dieses Gebiet zu erkunden. Es hieß das längst ausgestorbene Tiere auf dem Tafelberg überlebt haben könnten. Ein solcher Sensationsfund blieb aus, aber dennoch muss das Gefühl als erster Mensch diese vergessene Welt betreten zu haben überwältigend gewesen sein. Jeder Schritt ein neues Abenteuer, jede Erkundung ohne Wegweiser, Naturwunder genießen ohne vom Selfie-Stick erschlagen zu werden. 
Natürlich blieb die Entdeckung der einzigartigen Welt nicht lang geheim. Schnell verbreitete sich die Nachricht über die Erlebnisse dieser atemberaubenden Expedition und der Autor von Sherlock Homes brachte doch noch Dinosaurier auf den Roraima-Tepui, zumindest in seinem Roman „die vergessene Welt“.  
Eine Frage stellt sich uns an dieser Stelle noch, welche Geräusche würde man in so einer verlorenen Gegend hören? Monotunes, haben unserer Meinung nach, eine gut Antwort auf diese Frage gefunden und präsentieren euch mit ihrer deep story Klänge aus einem lange Zeit unberührten Teil dieser Erde.

There are still a few places on this planet which almost nobody has seen yet or which are even completely unspoilt by civilization. These remote areas often harbor extremely rare species of animals and plants and tickle the fantasy of some writers.
One of these places is the Roraima Tepui, a table mountain with an elevation of 2810 meter, which is located on the frontier of 3 countries : Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana.
The first man to climb this mountain was a British explorer in the year 1884. Before that day, nobody had dared to venture into the area out of superstition. Back then, it was rumored that some extinct species of animals actually still lived on this table mountain. Although such a sensational discovery didn’t happen, it must have been an overwhelming feeling to be the very first human being to venture into this hidden world. Every step a new adventure, every exploration without road signs, admiring all these wonders of nature without capturing it with a selfie-stick.
Of course the discovery of this unique world did not stay a secret for long. The news of this breathtaking expedition spread quickly and the author of Sherlock Holmes even brought dinosaurs to the Roraima Tepui, at least in his novel ‘The Lost World’.
We still have one compelling question about this place : which noises are there to be heard in this remote spot? To answer that question, we think that nobody on this planet is better placed than Monotunes and in this deep story you’ll have the unique opportunity to discover the sound of this unspoilt part of our planet…

Bio:
Døc is a musical project by Irish DJ and producer Darren Doherty. A well established name on the Irish clubbing scene, Døc’s first real experience of dance music happened after he snuck into a nightclub at the tender age of fifteen, instantly falling in love with the tunes, atmosphere and vibes, Doherty promised himself that one day he would return to the club, Privilege, Longford, as a DJ. He then devoted himself to achieving that goal and eventually enjoyed a very successful residency there.

With over twenty year’s worth of experience behind the decks, it’s safe to say that Døc is an artist who has truly mastered his craft. Based in Sligo, the home to clubbing in the west of Ireland, Døc has been controlling crowds in the region with his genre hopping brand of deep, progressive and techy basslines for well over a decade, never failing to lift the energy in a room and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back and begging for more. Having played in many of Ireland’s biggest and most popular venues, Døc has played a number of international shows, most notably at the Circle Warehouse Party London, Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Circle Miami and Hï Ibiza, supporting the likes of Danny Howells, Clive Henry and Alex Arnout in the process.

Døc is also an extremely accomplished producer, having been making his own original productions for over ten years. He has a string of successful releases behind him, both as part of the Døc project and under other aliases. He has had a number of tracks signed to Suro Recordings including his collaboration with Marc de Pulse on the track Birthing Star, released in September 2017. Døc’s music has received support from some real heavy hitters in the industry, including Nick Warren, one of the world’s best known progressive DJs.

Døc currently holds several local and international residencies, including slots at Spiral Tree, Longford and appearances with Circle Experience in London, Ibiza, Miami & Berlin.
