First released on CD in 2000, this double album collected most of the seminal cuts of Mindfield from 994-1999, across several lineups.

Mindfield were at the centre of the Goa Trance explosion in London in the mid '90s, performing firstly all over the UK and eventually worldwide.
The original lineup paired studio heads Simon Carman & John Ford with proto scenesters Mark Allen & DJ Chrisbo. Mark & Chris were part of the influential Pagan party crew before Mark became resident DJ at Return To The Source - ground zero for the scene in London at the time.
Around '96 Chrisbo left to join Medicine Drum & Mark left to concentrate on RTTS & his burgeoning DJ career, leaving core members John & Simon to continue as Mindfield and concentrate on running their London based Phantasm & Psychic Deli imprints.

Sadly after a battle with leukaemia Simon died in 1997.. John enlisted his friend musician Ben Wilkin to the fold in '98 before taking the reins alone around 2000. He continues to perform live as Mindfiled & DJ as John Phantasm to the present day.

Giving the celebration new purpose Nova Fractal is handed the sacred scepter by none other than arch wizard Dr. Spook who combines forces to issue forth this tome of secret treasures. From the four quarters of the world, the call is heard. The prophesied day is coming when the messengers of the sky gods would come and reveal to the worthy the arcane secrets and mystical methods. And so it was a gathering like Zone had ever seen before, Wizards and Warlocks, Witches and Wiccan, Sorcerers and Sychophants, Conjurers and Incantationists, and so many more' on they came bringing their own secret boxes and stuffed stash pouches, chests and coffers, and countless more contraptions of magical might. Together the greatest 18 formed a circle and began a momentous casting of all their most powerful spells, each releasing the power in tandem with the next, fluidly and flawlessly manifesting gestures and uttering half muttered phrases. As this great conflagration reaches its crescendo a series of hidden portals open and usher forth the heralds from the higher continuum. "The point is that real oldschool goa trance from the 90s has a dirty and grimy undertone. it sounds like dirty bong water, like drinking canned beer in the morning, like smoking pot in public transit and not giving a shit about other passengers, like getting a b....job while sitting drunk at the beach. "Neogoa" might be nice trance music, but it doesn't sound like all this. it rather sounds like non smoking flights, clean hotel rooms, diet coke and sex with condoms..."
