Nice track, there are some overlapping harmonies at times that don't quite feel right to me, though they do resolve eventually.

Nice track and beautiful sounds! I can't point out why i feel that the rhythm at the start sounds wrong - it resolves at 00:50. Afterwards, it gets better. I love the harmony at 1:37! Good work overall :)

I like the sounds and the psychedelic ending

Like some other tracks in this round, I feel like the main thing missing is dynamics. The track feels like it's in "mezzoforte" throughout, which takes away a lot of the impact of the musical ideas. Shame, because I like the vibe a lot otherwise. <3

overall i like this direction you're going in, even if you are perhaps not quite there yet. :) the long-tailed noisy drums are distracting, felt a bit too loud and/or repetitive for my taste.

This song is made with only one open-source synthesizer called "Surge XT" in the Digital Audio Software "Reaper" with only a few free effects (EQ, Compressor, Limiter).

OSC159 Frank Geppert Cyber Passion

In this track for the OSC # 159 I used 33 instances of the free Surge XT synthesizer.

DAW: Cubase 11 Pro (Frequency, GEQ-30,  Stereo Delay,  Revelation, Tube Compressor, AutoPan and Maximizer)

Free 3rd party plugs: Panagement 2 by Auburn, Baby Come Back by Baby Audio, MCharmverb by Melda Production, Wider by Polyverse Music and Supermassive by Valhalla.

All sounds are TSOM originals. Except: Flutish Organ and the 10CC Choir Pad are tweaks I did with some wonderful presets by Martijn Deluxe. The Alien Voice has been created using the Vowel/Speech wavetable in Surge's TWIST engine.

Surge XT - Utopian Mornings

20 instances with almost entirely just surge xt fx. On 6/4/22 I did upload a much shorter version. You can certainly vote based on the older longer version or whatever you like. Just really felt like it didn't deserve the extra 90 seconds. Didn't want to take that bit extra of peoples' time. ..Gradually whittled it down from 6 minutes to 3. It just seems to take more than a month for things to percolate in my mind. Sorry.

I went for a big contrast... so watch out your volume  setting  :)

Made everything from scratch as I like to do. I had the impression I could have made 5 distinct tracks but that distorded sound I found out put me on rails for kind of a RATM tribute. So it got out pretty despaired and harsh, but I hope you enjoy listening to it nonetheless.
