This track started as an experiment - using cheap synthesisers and effects pedals to create a live drone / ambient soundscape. From this I added some software synth layers as well as some additional effects plugins to create a dark ambient soundscape for a Halloween playlist.

This is a hard-hitting, experimental electronic track that evolves and twists in strange ways. It first starts off with this weird, expanding synth that sounds like it was made by an alien that eventually builds up into a beat drop. After the beat drop, it becomes a techno song that is heavy in bass and kicks. Which then evolves (again) into this intense EDM track that combines electric guitars, glitches and everything I mentioned before and also has bridge in the middle which has fast paced drums and very disorientating sounds that slide downwards in frequency.


Basically, this track has a bunch of sounds that vary from electric guitars to alien synthesizers that all squished and forced to be apart of this song, which is all held together by a four-on-the-floor kick drum.

A sad, ambient piece with melodic change.

A slightly off-kilter track, that makes you want to stay when the beat comes in conjoined to a soothing synth.

The Underworld

A sunday afternoon groovy jam with a house influence, a conga groove and an organ.

I started my groove with my Polyend Play+ providing a solid modern kick and a clap. I added a low tom and high hats on the RD-9. The low tom is doing an upbeat pulsing bassline. Then I thought this is the ideal situation to bring out the RD-78 for the conga sound and I also added a clave (cheeky extra). 

At this point I was really grooving. Adding the organ from the Roland J-6 and a bassline from the Roland SE-02. I mixed it live with a delay and some reverb. I have not changed the audio at all apart from putting it through my normal master chain to get it really pumping. I used the high pass filter on the RD-9 to shape the tom and you can hear me doing that in the track.
