unique and multilingual alike, dodo hug has taken the stage almost 40 years ago - as singer-songwriter, musician and comedian in her home country switzerland and beyond. dodo hug started her career with christoph marthaler & pepe solbach, followed by many years with the music & comic ensemble mad dodo, since 1994 together with the sardinian musician efisio contini, who she also shares her life with. her fellow musicians originate from italy, france, belgium, england, usa, brazil, columbia, bulgaria, romania und the czech republic. besides music, dodo hug was seen in theatre plays, in tv and in cinemas. she wrote and composed numerous songs and co-produced many of her albums. dodo hug’s work was awared the “salzburger stier” in 1985 and the “deutsche kleinkunstpreis” in 1992. In 2006, her book «madâme dodo – die chamäleondame» (german only) was published by www.viamala-verlag.ch.
