Decoded Magazine Mix of the Month October Submission – Dogee

I'm Zoltan from Hungary, and music has been a defining part of my life since the '90s. Over the years, I've explored many styles of electronic music, creating mixes for over 20 years. These days I focus mainly on melodic and progressive house, often blending in afro house and electronica elements. 

I have a passion for precise transitions, harmonies and melody-driven storytelling. My signature style is the high track count, usually 30 or more per hour. For me, mixing is not just about blending tracks, it's about experimenting and creating a unique sonic journey.

In 2025, I was one of the winners of the Saturo Sounds DJ Competition, which led to becoming a quarterly guest resident on their station. Earlier in my journey, I hosted my own mix show on TranceTream.FM, Hungary’s first trance streaming radio, and the most popular web radio of its time.

Way of K never keeps you on the surface. His signature sound is deep and immersive, while always compelling your body to move.  Whether it's with a heavy bass line, an emotional melody, or a tapestry of beats, his meticulously crafted soundscapes leave you with a feeling.

His music blends elements from Melodic, Deep, Progressive, Organic and Tribal House, culminating in his own vivid style.

A world wanderer who came to rest in a coastal Ecuadorian village, Way of K has been exposed to music from a wide variety of cultures. This global influence combined with his unique background as an engineer and meditation teacher has given him a special relationship to sound.

His studio overlooking the ocean also serves as a meditation retreat center, where intense periods of musical creation are balanced by retreats for days at a time in total silence, with only the sounds of the rainforest and rhythm of the waves to influence him towards the next work of art.

When he’s not in the studio or guiding meditation retreats, you'll probably find him surfing. Constantly gathering inspiration from the relentlessly dynamic nature of the ocean.


My first meeting with the electronic music was in 1999, when one of my friends gave me Sasha’s mix, which had recorded in San Francisco. The mix had taken such an effect for me, that I started to handle with it as a fanatic. In the beginning I was collecting just mixes, then for an influence from a friend I started to collect vinyls. After several years, I reached that I bought my own turntables, that I don’t just lesson the music, but also formed it.

2004 was the year when I had played for the public in an own party, which reached a very big success in the La Torre Club, in Gyor. Under this effect I kept the residency in the Cuba Libre club which also nestle in Gyor. Where were formed the Newsounds team. After a long, my music style has began to change and I was feeling that I hadn’t fit to the music repertoire, accordingly I left the team. After these things, the Coronita Music Pub was the place of my performances in Gyor. Thanks to Sikztah, I kept an inviting to the biggest event in Gyor, which was the Etikett Party. Someday I also kept a chance in the Home Club in Budapest, thanks to the Freee Interaktív. From my radio performances I could pull out the Justmusic and the Pulzar.

In the beginning my style was formed by progressive house, then by the electro. Nowadays I have a worked out own style. Which I can’t classify really. The growing german electronic sounding take me a big effect.

A former resident of the legendary night club Omnia SD, he has already left an indelible mark on dance floors nationwide.

All of that was the catalyst. Had some citeonics and crappy. Borrowed belt driven drives for really poor efforts at DJing local youth clubs and occasional private parties. Kept up the music love and bedroom DJing. 

More recently enjoyed bringing the rave to fitness boot camps and the ambient soulful melodic house to Crosby Beach. Sunsets and sunny days been amazing.
