Jamiu Bolarinwa also known as Doggext is a Nigerian hip-hop artist based in Boston, Massachusetts.  

Born and raised in Mushin, Nigeria.   He started his music career in 1998 at his alma mater, Ansarudeen College in Lagos, Nigeria, performing primarily at social night events on campus.
    

In 2002, Doggext relocated to the United States where he continued composing, recording, and performing for various audiences.  He is currently in the studio working with different artists from  United Kingdom, United States and also Nigeria. He has featured on over 15 mixtapes and but he became prominent when he release his 'Omo Mushin Mixtape' in 2010 featuring DJ Kobe.

 
His lyrics are grounded in his perception of life, his milieu, and his jokes.  He is often comical but never fails to drive his point home. Also, the manner in which he fuses American English with Yoruba (one of the main languages in Nigeria) keeps his flow diverse and his audience entertained.

He has performed at the Nigerian Reunion and Conference, 2011 in Florida. Nigerian Entertainment Awards, 2011 in New York, and a lot of clubs and private events all over United States.

Doggext is also the 2011 Best New Act recipient at the Nigerian Promoters Awards in Atlanta Georgia.

Established rappers in the game have called him a Monster, a Beast, or Lyrical Phenom but all of these names mean nothing to this rapper who is determined to push Afro Hip Hop/ Nigerian Rap to  American market.
