An artist renowned for his attention to detail and magnificently equipped studio, Petar Dundov has been at the vanguard of the techno genre in all its guises and within the wider canon of Melodic and Progressive House. Already featuring on such esteemed imprints as SCI+TEC, Cocoon Recordings and Sudbeat Music, December 2020's "Salvation / Nature of Nature" EP was a glorious Proton debut. Now following up with another pair of original tracks, "Spark" is redolent in all the trademark features that make Dundov such a respected figure. Through heavy beat, rolling percussive groove and hypnotic bass phrase, sparkling synth motifs gently work across the 9-minute piece in unencumbered fashion. A stripped back breakdown adds further texture and effects before the shimmering melodic sequences take centre stage in the second half. "Day Unseen" provides immediate energy via a syncopated synth motif that provides further intrigue through open filters, modulation and note placement. A clicking, tom-infused percussive groove supplies innovation as a new melody makes its way to the fore and additional strings create a smooth counterpoint to the elements introduced in the first half.

A powerful force withing the house and techno genre movements, BLANCAh, continues to hit the sweet spot with an immaculate blend of melodic components fused to dynamic and powerful dancefloor rhythms. A debut on the renowned Steyoyoke in 2014 signalled the Brazilian's intent as a panoply of original music found its way on to the likes of Lost on You, Sprout and Renaissance Records. The latter bore witness to her debut full-length album in May 2020 with the outstanding "Arias of Sky". Making her Proton Music debut, the BLANCAh remix is a wonderful interpretation that intelligently makes use of Dundov's components while introducing an array of her own production material. The result is a stunning interpretation which bristles with vibrancy as analogue synth lines infused with white-noise, reverb and delay, ripple across the stereo spectrum with ease backed by a chest-thumping kick and elegant percussion.

Regularly seeing his music featured on the likes of Meanwhile, 3rd Avenue and Clinique with a variety of original and remix production material, Imran Khan has shone brightly through 2018's "Arrival" EP on Particles, while August 2019's "Organik" and November's "Sunsweat" EPs continued his story on Proton Music. Remixes for GMJ, Dmitry Molosh and Michael A for the latter, have continued to showcase a burgeoning talent as the UK star now works his magic on "Spark". Characterised by a hefty rhythmic groove and seismic bassline, growling synth lines swim across the stereo spectrum as delayed percussive hits and ticking hats supply hypnotic energy. Evolving with elegance, pads and effects are introduced as pitched variations on the original's central motifs bend and echo into the distance in intriguing fashion. The result is an innovative and dramatic interpretation with its roots firmly in Petar Dundov's "Spark".

A "Spark" of ingenuity sees Petar Dundov light up Proton Music once again aided by iridescent remixes from BLANCAh and Imran Khan.

With his long-awaited return to ICONYC, Allies supplies us with a slice of early summer vibes aptly named 'Takes All Kinds' which additionally is also the theme song of the upcoming ICONYC TV documentary series on Netflix. 

The original of 'Takes All Kinds', delivers 80's stimulated vibes while encapsuling you with warm and soothing sounds, complemented by a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding elements. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The harmonies and Allies exceptional vocals are the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. German deep house superstar Oliver Schories delivers a trademark deep electronica-soaked rework with infectious chords, laidback drums and smooth breakdown. His remix twists effortlessly throughout, while Allies' moody vocals sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. It's all about the groove, cool vibes and the suave beats that are working their magic around Oliver's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible vibe while taking the mind on a trip. Next up are St.Peterburg's favorite sons Space Food, known for their melodic sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Impressum Recordings welcomes back prolific Swiss producer, Several Definitions, with his second release on Fideles highly regarded imprint, with his new single 'Spring Loaded' which features the powerful vocals of Ed Begley and is completed with a remix from INVÖKER.

Since the inception of his 'Several Definitions' moniker back in 2014 Jeremy Dietrich has gone from strength to strength after numerous heavyweight releases on industry powerhouse labels such as Diynamic, Stil Vor Talent, Knee Deep In Sound and Suara. He's amassed millions of streams across the various platforms and his music, which is a blend of warm atmospheres, captivating melodies and dynamic beats, has garnered support from a blend of highly regarded newcomers like BOg and Artche through to electronic music luminaries like Solomun, Innellea, Pete Tong and Sasha.

For his second release on Impressum, he releases Spring Loaded, with its haunting melodies and atmospherics intertwining delicately, then being laced with delightfully delivered indie vocals from Ed Begley, creating a striking and emotive ethereal melodic house track, which Impressum is now well known and one that has been a huge track in Fideles's sets recently.

On the flip side is the INVÖKER remix. INVÖKER has released on highly regarded labels such as Innervisions, Siamese, and Tau in the last 2 years. His releases have been supported by the likes of Adriatique, Jennifer Cardini, Adana Twins, Frankey and Sandrino, and many others, who've been attracted to his intricate blend of melodic, atmospheric house and Indie dance in his productions. For his remix of Spring Loaded, he adds more of an indie dance flavour to the track which stems from the guitars both in the bassline and those that are delicate yet sear through the track. This is a deep and hypnotic track, with the vocals giving an intensely personal feeling of inner peace and harmony, which will be a mainstay in many sets this year.

Doguez is an artist whose music is the manifestation of his emotions and feelings, with a project that subtly embraces Melodic Techno and Progressive House.
Marcelo began his musical career as a DJ in 2015 and soon embarked on a journey of studying music production, discovering a vast universe of possibilities to express his emotions and feelings through sound art.
In 2020, his first works were released by the Prototype Music record label. Since then, he has gained recognition in the market, with releases on prominent labels such as Us & Then and Uxoa Dutxa Elite, as well as receiving support from influential artists like David Guetta, KAS:ST, Korolova, Binaryh, VNTM, Paul Anthonee, Voices Of Valley, among others.
Currently, Doguez, in addition to being one of the promises of electronic music, is a member and co-founder of Melodic Eye, a collective that stands out as one of the main actors in the national Melodic Techno scene.
