15年目を迎える京都を代表するJAZZ / CROSSOVERイベント”Do it JAZZ!”を主宰。ホテル・ラウンジ・レストランの音楽設計・サウンドサポートも行う等、京都・大阪・東京を中心に活躍。 Gilles Petersonがスタートしたオンライン・ラジオステーション"Worldwide FM"の 京都サテライト"WW KYOTO"のDJを務め毎月第二月曜日に発信中。また東京発のインディペンデントラジオ「Tsubaki fm」京都支部担当。2021年は「Jazz」と「京都」をフィルターにして活動するクリエイティブ・チーム「Kyoto Jazzy Creative Council」を沖野修也・Yukari BBと共に結成。Jazzy Sport KyotoからJazzに特化したMix CD 「POWER JAZZ」をリリース。トラックメイカー名義の「Mark N」として京都のレーベルFlight Works からリリース。東京新木場ageHaで開催されたTokyo Jazz Crossover Festival 2021に出演する等活動中。

THE ROOM RADIO
Kyoto Jazz Massiveの沖野修也がオーナーで、Champ Recordsの冨永陽介がディレクターを務める渋谷の老舗コバコ。1992年にオープンし、のべ100万人以上を動員している。そんなThe RoomにゆかりのあるDJ達が週替わりでノン・ストップ・ミックスをプレイ。ジャズ、ソウル、ファンク、ディスコ、ブギー、アフロ・ビート等、エモーショナルでタイムレスな音楽を軸に、時にヒップ・ホップ、ディープ・ハウス、ビート・ミュージック等の最新の音楽を織り交ぜ、The Roomの世界観を再現予定。ダンサブルでありながらリスニング対応でフロアーとラジオを接続することも試みる。又、レジェンドから若手までを幅広く起用することで世代を超越したシーンの活性化を目指す。更にはThe Roomでプレイするレギュラーだけでなく、The Roomに訪れた海外DJまでをブッキングする予定。クラバーから音楽好きまでが楽しめる１時間が繰り広げられる。

This is my cover of Teen Town by Weather Report composed by Jaco Pastorius, from the album Heavy Weather. I didn't use any click track. The drums were all played live, starting with the basic rhythm track, then I added the drum hits. I later made the two drum tracks separately in mono, so I could control the reverb for the drum hits. The synth sounds were a combination of the Nord piano 2 88 and Yamaha m06. The Rhodes piano was done on the Korg SV 88, and I played real fretless bass. For the doubling unison spots, I recorded them separately without hearing the other bass track, so it would make it easier to concentrate on the pitches. I sang the soprano saxophone parts also through a Lewitt MTP540 microphone. The conga drums were done on the Yamaha m06. ~ Rachel Flowers

For our next release, we revisit a track that’s really close to our heart. “We’ve had enough” is a story about social injustice in the world that we live in today. The new remix package includes mixes from Zepherin Saint and the Journeymen. 


Zepherin saint ‘s Super Fly mix is a nod to the Blaxploitation era, paying tribute to Curtis Mayfield and the like. Zepherin  Saint has pulled out all the stops on his mix ,incorporating live guitar, Bass, Rhodes, Flute, and Horns and a masterful arrangement that really brings the track to life.

The Journeymen offer us a more stripped down version that is perfect for the big rooms. Stomping beats and stabbing chords are the order of the day.

We are able to return this favor through the thing that we love – recording music with fantastic artists across the globe. Mark de Clive-Lowe, a multi-musician receiving high acclaim around the world for his producing and keyboard skills which fuse traditional expression of jazz, soul music, and hip hop / Miami bass (base music) / breakbeats, will perform at the Beat Solo Concert. Worldfamous dance artist Michito Tanabe leads this exciting dance and percussion showcase, "Kyoto Jazzy Blue Tribe", which also includes the likes of DoitJAZZ! DJ Shuya Okino & Yoshihiro Okino , the leading person in Kyoto Jazz Massive, and whom is rising up from Kyoto to conquer the world. The few female DoitJAZZ!
