15年目を迎える京都を代表するJAZZ / CROSSOVERイベント”Do it JAZZ!”を主宰。ホテル・ラウンジ・レストランの音楽設計・サウンドサポートも行う等、京都・大阪・東京を中心に活躍。 Gilles Petersonがスタートしたオンライン・ラジオステーション"Worldwide FM"の 京都サテライト"WW KYOTO"のDJを務め毎月第二月曜日に発信中。また東京発のインディペンデントラジオ「Tsubaki fm」京都支部担当。2021年は「Jazz」と「京都」をフィルターにして活動するクリエイティブ・チーム「Kyoto Jazzy Creative Council」を沖野修也・Yukari BBと共に結成。Jazzy Sport KyotoからJazzに特化したMix CD 「POWER JAZZ」をリリース。トラックメイカー名義の「Mark N」として京都のレーベルFlight Works からリリース。東京新木場ageHaで開催されたTokyo Jazz Crossover Festival 2021に出演する等活動中。

THE ROOM RADIO
Kyoto Jazz Massiveの沖野修也がオーナーで、Champ Recordsの冨永陽介がディレクターを務める渋谷の老舗コバコ。1992年にオープンし、のべ100万人以上を動員している。そんなThe RoomにゆかりのあるDJ達が週替わりでノン・ストップ・ミックスをプレイ。ジャズ、ソウル、ファンク、ディスコ、ブギー、アフロ・ビート等、エモーショナルでタイムレスな音楽を軸に、時にヒップ・ホップ、ディープ・ハウス、ビート・ミュージック等の最新の音楽を織り交ぜ、The Roomの世界観を再現予定。ダンサブルでありながらリスニング対応でフロアーとラジオを接続することも試みる。又、レジェンドから若手までを幅広く起用することで世代を超越したシーンの活性化を目指す。更にはThe Roomでプレイするレギュラーだけでなく、The Roomに訪れた海外DJまでをブッキングする予定。クラバーから音楽好きまでが楽しめる１時間が繰り広げられる。

"NOW!KYOTO" DJ MIX

UK producer and musician Hemai put together a cracking mix for us, celebrating the release of his new album for Tru Thoughts.

According to @hemai, “It is a collection of songs which have a place embedded in my heart, all from or inspired by Latin rhythms, dance sequences or low frequency providers. Past and present.”

‘Strange Beauty’ is the debut album from producer and multi-instrumentalist Louie Hemus AKA Hemai. A collection of stories of the love, spirit and balance of the universe, the hotly tipped 22-year-old experiments with the idea of movement and the present, bringing together some of his favourite sounds from around the world and melding them with his UK roots.
