⸻ OOK is a high-energy producer and DJ duo pushing the boundaries of underground electronic music. Founded in 2021 by a dynamic brother-sister team, OOK builds on the experience of their previous project, Die Vogelperspektive (2012–2021).

Their sound fuses the driving energy of Drum & Bass, Techno, and Dub Techno with deep, hypnotic grooves, powerful basslines, and UK-influenced sonic textures. With a keen sense for intricate soundscapes, they create a captivating balance between atmospheric dub elements and high-intensity bass rhythms.

Before launching OOK, the duo made a name for themselves as Die Vogelperspektive, releasing music on respected labels such as 
Bondage Music, Get Physical Music, Cyclic Records, Acker Dub Records, Smiley Fingers and several other renowned Labels. Their catalog also includes numerous remixes for various artists, further showcasing their versatility and distinctive sound.

In their DJ sets, OOK seamlessly blends rolling beats with dark, immersive sound textures, delivering an experience that resonates both in intimate club settings and on large-scale sound systems. Their focus on refined sound design and forward-thinking production sets them apart as an exciting act in the underground electronic scene.

Whether in the studio or behind the decks, OOK is dedicated to innovation, depth, and uncompromising bass energy—always striving to push sonic boundaries and keep the dancefloor moving.

OOK’s first official release, the album The Story of the Untold, will be out in spring 2025 on the Lithuanian label Greyscale Records.

Den Weg zur elektronischen Musik, fand Alex, alias ALEX MAHNKE , 2014 in Neubrandenburg im Mixtape. Überwältigt von der Energie und der Liebe, der dort veranstalteten Partys, dauerte es nur ein paar durchtanzte Nächte und etwas Mut, sein dortiges Vorbild Mark Synth anzusprechen, um von ihm das auflegen zu lernen.
Von seinem neuen Mentor lernte er nun das auflegen mit all seinen Facetten. Nach einigen Auftritten und Jahren in Mecklenburg, wurde er Teil des Natürlich Irre Festivals, wo er 2019 sein Festivaldebut gab. Es folgten Gigs in Clubs wie der Berliner Rummelsbucht, Hamburgs Fundbüro, der Fusion, dem 3000Grad und dem Humboldthain, wo er  Teil der Right Here, Right Now Crew wurde.
Er ist noch lange nicht am Ende und nach einigen Partys in Berlin, Hamburg und zuletzt in Rostock, seiner heutigen Heimat, will er mit seinem Mix aus Indie dance und tech-housigem bis hin zu melodisch- technoidem Sound, die Menschen zum lächeln bringen, wie es mit ihm seinerzeit im Mixtape passierte.
Er ist nun Teil des Kontrastkollektivs, und mit kommenden neuen Projekten will er die Welt der Musik auf den Kopf stellen ;)
