On the 4th single from his highly acclaimed 4th LP "After Forever", Kasper Bjørke puts his disco noir anthem "Apart" into the safe hands of two luminary remixing talents.

The original version of "Apart" was selected as "Tune of The Month" in MixMag in the September issue, stating: 
“Its nothing short of genius… Kasper absolutely nailed it”.
And now, on the digital and limited edition 12” vinyl (with beautiful artwork by american artist John Copeland), you will find two epic remixes by Kompakt Records’ head honcho Michael Mayer and renowned UK producer, Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, The Rapture, etc.).
 
Michael Mayer gives the tune's melancholy synth pop an epic feel, remaking it for the deepest and darkest of big room dancefloors, adding a discombobulating synth drone and ramping up the intensity levels.

Ewan Pearson's remix adds a High NRG vibe to expose the yearning vocal before adding layers of arpeggios and synthesizers to an utterly irresistible, motorik pulse with some epic breakdowns.

Both remixes skilfully navigate a line between the pop and dancefloor sensibilities of the original track, respecting the integrity of the bittersweet, emotional vocals of the Icelandic girlgroup Sísy Ey.

After the release of the three singles "Rush", "Sylvia" and "TNR", this package rounds off a quartet of singles, that confirms Bjørke's outstanding talent for sensitively combining influences of post disco and 80s synth pop in new and consistently invigorating ways. 

The album "After Forever" is out now on hfn Music.

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to welcome the talented DJ & producer : Uun. 

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective  tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture.

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. Between the Midwest and several periods in
Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once.

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated
dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound.

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, Detroit's Movement Festival, and Brookyln's
Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to host such an iconic figure from the London Techno scene : R.M.K (Fossil Archive, Nechto , Odd Even).

Hailing from London, R.M.K is an exciting new project by Fossil Archive label head Roberto. It represents a faster and more intense take on his unique brand of Techno.

He utilises his knowledge and past experiences, which include regularly playing at Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, as well as fabric in London, to develop his individual sound.

During his 20+ year career in music, he has formed friendships and worked in partnership with other respected artists such as Trevino (Marcus Intalex), Jamie Anderson, Robert Owens, Goldie and Nastia.

Although the focus is always on the very heart of the most raucous of raves, R.M.K never shies away from groove and funk. This is conveyed in a Live Show that utilises classic hardware from the golden age of UK Rave.

Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @dimi-angelis for the 125th installment of Amplify Series.

The mix is a live recording played at one of Dimi's Illegal Parties back in the day. It was recorded on the 18th of August 2002 and is part of a 5 hour set, vinyl only.

Thinking of Dimi Angelis, we quickly associate his name with pounding sounds, high-quality releases, and an iconic trajectory. Staying true to his sound, Dimi has evolved over the years into one of the most renowned producers and DJs worldwide.

Looking back to the nineties, Dimi has been one of the key figures shaping the Dutch techno scene as we know it today. His career has been marked by releases on top-tier labels such as Axis Records, Warm Up Recordings, Mord, KEY Vinyl, Tar Hallow, and the co-owned label A&S with Jeroen Search. This has led him to perform at major techno institutions such as Berghain, Awakenings, Dekmantel, and Tresor.

Another product of Dimi’s creativity is his solo label, ANGLS, which delivers raw and uncompromising techno. In recent years, Dimi has been a regular presence across different continents, frequently performing in Latin America, Asia, and the USA.

Carving vast chasms of space with exacting sound design and deadly poise, @katatonicsilentio returns to the Mantis series for another round of highly detailed leftfield techno exploration.

The Turin based sound artist continues to plot her own path through contemporary electronic music, taking cues from soundsystem pressure and dubwise minimalism as much as glitchy experimentation and the meditative repetition of techno. While her output across many different labels can reach to noisy extremes and beatless atmospheres, on her latest for Mantis the Italian artist zeroes in on a hypnotic, mysterious sound cast in the icy moods of late 90s tech step and early dubstep. At all times she finds space for surprise interference even in the most austere of situations, creating a palpable tension that amplifies the deep dancefloor potential of her music and moulding powerful physicality out of subtle elements.

Up first is 'Xure', an arp-driven slab of mind-tickling electronics that slowly builds its way to a sterling peak-time climax, after which the distorted 'Xero' highlights the dirtier and grittier side of things with a raw LFO-esque synth meandering through a sonic groove. Closing track 'Xite' captures the spiraling vibes of off-beat techno across hypnotic percussion bits and glistening sounds in the background, leaving very little to wish for. 
On the remix tip, one of techno's men-of-the-moment Tripeo (aka Darko Esser) delivers a beefy rework of 'Xure'. Tying an arped synth to a potent groove, this little monster will definitely do the business in the clubs...

Storming his way back onto Drumcode Luigi Madonna closes off the Summer with a four track smasher that will see him welcome in Autumn with a bang. Each track contains the solid, raw drums that are the backbone to each track Luigi has conjured up. With a brooding undertone, the simplicity found in each track gives the lead lines and ideas more space to breath, which overall creates a unique and charismatic submission that can only be found from the Italian.
