"walking through the streets of venezia, i imagined a musical soundtrack. obsessed with the city’s beauty and history, i planned to produce my own musical tale. lots of cultures and civilisations influenced venice history. their rituals and knowledge make part of the obscure side which existed throughout the centuries. i was thinking of pure ritualistic and tribal music, a more specific ritual sound as what i produced up to now. ah cama-sotz is known for tribal ritualistic stuff, but these 4 tracks would follow a different path. venice gave me the possibility to express myself in a different musical context, still with a recognisable sound conveying the listener throughout musical culture and history. charged mystical atmospheres with sensual undertones and eastern influences." ah cama-sotz 2022

Dronny Darko present his new dystopian album Godless Land, where cities are swallowed by overgrowth with humans gone.

You see cities you once knew, now swallowed by overgrowth.
You stand amidst a surreal landscape, where nature has reclaimed the concrete jungle. Vines and creepers have wrapped themselves around skyscrapers, pulling them back into the earth. The streets are a tangle of overgrowth, with buildings consumed by the relentless march of vegetation.

You hear the silence, punctuated only by the creaks and groans of structures surrendering to nature's onslaught.

Your footsteps echo off the walls as you navigate through a sea of ferns and wildflowers that have claimed the pavement as their own. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decay, a reminder that humans are no longer the dominant force here

3 veteran producers in the genre, Apocryphos, Kammarheit & Atrium Carceri, collaborate on this behemoth of an album. Each utilizing each others strengths to bring forth a dark and emotional ride through distant memories. 

Onyx is a soundscape journey related to the reflection of dispirited memories and obscure sorrows felt by mankind. With the multitude of techniques used by each artist, it also reflects the rich history of the dark ambient genre and how it has progressed through the decades. 

The signature analogue darkness of gargantuan caves of Kammarheit is combined with the sacral and emotional layering of Apocryphos and the rhytmical bass throbbing and isolated pianos of Atrium Carceri. 

This album was created by cross linking 3 studios in Oregon (US), Pennsylvania (US) and Umeå(Sweden). It took over 3800 lines of studio notes to finalize the album.

Hoshin, also know under his alias Esylt, presents us with a soothing ambient music album. Ripe with field recordings of lush forests and damp ancient temples. Layered with mechanical undertones it creates a unique atmosphere. An enlightening voyage to the center of Mysticism. Blackened machines summon dread, while the spiritual world knocks on the door of reality. 

The stench of decay stand in stark contrast to the awakened mind. We feel throbbing bass one minute, the other surrounded by murmuring crowds. From within them the cough of pestilence echo through halls that never end. 

This is fresh twist on the dark ambient genre and drone music.

The two bearded Swedes join forces on this collaborative album. Black Corner Den is the result of long winter studio sessions separated by the atlantic ocean but made possible by the internet. Lonely moments in the company of the night lamp, overlooking the messy pile of tape loops while the machines hummed and the piano played until the morning. 

Exploring the opium dens at the end of the 19th century this album takes you deep into the soothing dreams of dead poets. 

"The streets lay silent as the floor creeks under your bare feet. The old loft lit by a wax candle, it's light dancing over your oak desk. You grab the vial of black ink and the leather bound book as you scurry out the door into the humid night. You pass trails of fire as the lamplighter tends to the myriad lanterns adorning the bridge. A left turn leads you down a set of stone stairs where the satin clad lounge welcomes you in. 

Sweet smoke lingers in here where gentlemen gather to dream about the black sea. Your booth at the far end stands prepared. A pipe, tinderbox and purple pillow for a tired head. You have a friend tonight and it calls itself the Black Corner Den." 

Pär Boström’s dreamlike soundscapes combines with the careful melodies and elegant structures of Simon Heath. The perfect soundtrack for decadent nights or introverted reading sessions, preferably combined.

Ah Cama-Sotz is the musical project of Belgian artist Herman Klapholz, blending dark ambient, industrial, tribal, and EBM genres. Active since the early 1990s, the name is inspired by the Mayan bat deity Camazotz, reflecting its themes of darkness, mysticism, and the underworld. The music ranges from haunting cinematic soundscapes to energetic, rhythmic club tracks, often exploring apocalyptic, ritualistic, and spiritual concepts. Renowned in the underground electronic scene, Ah Cama-Sotz creates immersive atmospheres that captivate listeners with a fusion of heavy beats, ritual chants, and eerie ambiances.
