In order for us to effect change and to create a secure foundation, it’s crucial for us to go through the process of accepting the stories that we hold.  We need to acknowledge them, we need to be present to them, we need to mourn them and the loss that we feel around them. Ultimately for true healing we want to go forward with a different story around our foundational issues of trust, around safety and around our entitlement to be here in this world and to have what we need in order to survive.
