Pakate returns with its yearly Miami compilation. MMW is sounding special this year with eight fresh tunes designed to rock the house in any situation for Pakate Alike - Miami 2025. This time, the boss Jean Pierre provides two collabs: one teaming with Romanian minimal specialists AG Swifty & Brad Brunner for the bouncy & gangsta Mindstate, and the other joining forces with Copasetic for the laidback stripped-back, hypnotic On The Loose. On the rest of the show, new and old faces of the fam bring their unique skills for a varied collection of sleazy house swings. Please welcome back Natalia Roth, Zamoras, and Davide Mentesana (teaming up with Mausa and Mel Roses on the vocals) for some groovy, hi-octane minimal rollers, while Japans Daitto delivers with a mainstage, acid-infused slapper called Chemistry. Rounding off the compilation, ACA (YU) and Italian pairs Josh Kalker & Francesco Parente debut on the label with some heat, ready to move any dancefloor around.

Following the well-received release of FLETCH's 'So Fly' LP, George Smeddles' South Record imprint delivers another refreshing offering in the form of a dazzling four-track EP from UK DJ/Producer duo TwoSlice.

Known for their blend of stripped-back rhythms, funk-flecked basslines and infectious percussion, TwoSlice's latest work bursts into life with the unmissable 'Back Again', featuring a momentous vocal topline. Running a sophisticated blend of Disco and Funk-infused flavours set into the heart of an authentic House heater, it's a more-ish club cut oozing with danceable grooves, riveting harmonies and soulful vocal licks.

'1 Kiss' steers things into choppier waters, electing a more gritty feel with plenty of TwoSlice's evocative, dancefloor-focused production to boot. Punchy, swinging drums and sizzling percussion drive the track forward alongside modulating synth riffs, catchy vocal chops and a catchy topline hook. This one keeps a steady ebb and flow, ducking and diving to provide a delightful blend of suspense and euphoria.

'The Futuristic' is next up, bringing more punchy grooves and endless danceability. Playing on TwoSlice's ability to get mass impact out of subtly constructed melodic layers, set deep into the heart of weighty, movement-invoking drum programming and juicy low-end sub-bass, it's an undeniably standout track made for wanting dancefloors and peak time sets.

'Move Ya Body' rounds off the release in impressive fashion, showcasing the true versatility of TwoSlice's sound. Taking things back in time with 2000s-inspired sounds, they've carved out an essential dancefloor roller, flooded with funky nuances and cadent sonics that you can't help but dance to - some real ear candy for the purists, with an evident new-school gradience throughout.

South continues to broaden its reputation within the House music landscape as a credible outlet for first-class club music with universal radio and streaming adaptability. TwoSlice's 'Back Again' EP further cements the label's status as a beacon of quality and authenticity.
