When Stoned idea #4532 was put into play this is what happened : We  round up some fellow herb-merchants to have a go at rolling Von Party & Naduve's 'Cobra Kush' up and hosting their own studio smoke-out. 

1st up is Rodion : BONAFIED big-snake smoke machine. This i can attest to - his mixing desk is one big mixing bowl. You don’t actually have to look for the weed because its everywhere there. Its inside the machines, it’s all over the mouse, and the smoke alarm has dead batteries from being overworked.

The first thing I want to do is look up this oldschool new beat (or was it italo?) song I know to be somewhere out there in my playlist, but I can’t recall which one. Bummer, it would’ve fit perfectly in a mix!

Emotional Response presents the final recordings of the Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club, a loose band alias of Kirill Sergeew aka Kito Jempere. Principally active for just a few years, these recordings were never finalised - lost as such, until now.

Growing out of Kito's productions, the 8-piece band, including friends Lipelis (Public Possession / Animals Dancing) and Sergey Lipsky (Simple Symmetry), was developed to create live transformations of his music. 

The EP captures SPDSC at their peak; working with a desire to experiment via live improvisation. Can't You See Me, their version of an earlier studio release, morphs the original's melodic 4/4 in to an expansive, surround sound slo-mo Balearic funk experience for the heavens. 

This is backed with a remix by Auf Togo Meets Becker & Mukai. After EPs on Leng, Aug Togo, aka Clement Cachot-Coulom and Sasha Crnobrnja (In Flagranti), previously teamed up with Jean-Gabriel Becker and Susumu Mukai (Zongamin), for an acclaimed EP on SaS Recordings. Their remix sensually creeps up, skilled musicianship creating a warm dub, as soothing bass and laid back vocals float to sunset horizons. 

As finale, Simple Customers is an 11-minute whirl of lazy, psychedelic beauty. The interplay between bass, drum and guitar is water tight, letting vocals shine to some latter day anthem. A fitting epitaph, a band at ease, confident and as one, these proved to be their last output before Kirill regrouped as today's Kito Jempere Band.

As soon as we realized just how serious the COVID19 situation was, all of us here at AEON Towers felt strongly that we must try to do something to help.

The virus had put an end to all live events so putting on an AEON party for charity wasn’t an option. With that in mind we felt we should do something around the label. It was also important to us to involve our AEON family too which is why the obvious answer was to open up some of our catalogue by way of a remix competition, with the winning remixes being released and all the profit being donated to the WHO COVID19 Response Fund.

We were mind blown and humbled by, not only the number of remixes that were submitted, but also the high quality of the music. It made choosing the best ones a very difficult task. We think we chose the best ones though, and we will release the results on July 3rd via Bandcamp only.
To those of you who can afford it, please dig deep and help us raise some money for a very good cause!

TOM And His Computer drops the 2nd release from his upcoming debut LP 'Future Ruins' which will be released on Trentemøller's label In My Room October 16th.

The pseudonym of Copenhagen hero Thomas Bertelsen, TOM And His Computer has already released a pair of very highly regarded EPs, pre- paring the ground for this full length adventure.

Teaming up with the legend that is Trentemøller as a co-producer, the album is preceded by this 2nd single Puzzle - a spikey, psych/indie/elec- tronic track with vocals from Roxy Jules. The production is clear and lively, allowing the song to shine through while imbuing the proceedings with an exciting, urgent shimmer.

Trentemøller’s remix takes things to another level - fat, chunky drums meet Vox organs, fuzz guitar and freestyling synths in a riot of colour and playfulness.
