Karim is a new Promise favourite and absolutely one of Toronto's best djs. This set perfectly caught the spirit of this amazing day at Promise Cherry Beach.  The Carry Nation headlined that day and brought out a festive group of superfans from across Canada and the States. Karim went right to work on them and completely stormed the beach.

KIA, led by Brooklyn based duo Donofrio @donofrio_nyc and Gag Ørder @gag_order blurs the lines of genre-specific sounds to deliver listeners a cauldron of influences with a heavy emphasis on queer and BIPOC artists. Inspired by everything from the thunderous clamor of ballroom to the tumultuous drums that inhabit the spaces of underrepresented communities, KIA's aim is to put visibility and representation in motion one function at a time. The duo has made much headway since their debut, playing at NYC staples Good Room, Knockdown Center, Le Bain, Paragon, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and LadyFag’s Battle Hymn.

A new weekend with a new mix to match! Adopted by the queer community of Hamburg https://soundcloud.com/sylvio-b is now creating his own path on the house music scene drawing inspiration from Chicago house, ballrooms and electroclash.

On his favorite track in his mix:
“The track "Beware" (Truncate mix) by Truncate & Josh Wink with the added vocals of  "The Ha dance" (Masters at Work) really sets the tone of the set. I imagined this mix as a modern tribute to Willi Ninja and more globally to the ballroom scene. The monotonous yet percussive techno track contains a tasty bassline which leaves room for "The Ha dance" vocals, making it possible to play with the genres and the eras.”
