m2u000 (staring into the light) is a 4 track collaboration ep between vånda and rosewither. Inspired by the aesthetics of home video, old documentaries, and fleeting moments of life, this EP explores themes of death, melancholic memory, and solitude.

We made this ep by exchanging various melody ideas on the internet. With vånda and I being across the world from each-other, we had no other choice but then to revert to the classic way of exchanging ideas on the internet.

The cover-art was made from a photo I took of a street light when I had the pleasure of visiting the Canary Islands some years back. There is something so fascinating to me about the idea of staring into a street light and having only the hum of the light to be your friend in that moment.

Throughout this project you will hear field recordings - all of these were taken by me throughout my time living between Texas and Minnesota. Some are softer like brown noise, some feature rain from tropical storms back in Austin - all pieces of home and a part of my soul.
