As you can remember, we had a space of freedom, in our Dominant Showcase 01. DIGITAL VAULT was opening the event and he was part of it.

Digital Vault is Barcelona-based Techno and industrial noise DJ and he is also Dominant Events co-founder. 

After two decades of supporting the electronic music scene in Barcelona, Digital Vault as a DJ, likes to explore various industrial rhythms and eclectic influences, all in line with his musical taste. 

Techno, Industrial noise and EBM are his favorite music styles, somewhere between gray and industrial sounds and broken voices.

In the early days he became interested in the international electronic music scene and started to explore what was happening elsewhere. Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Tbilisi are some of the places he often visits, without ever neglecting Barcelona’s active scene, for which he always felt very passionate about.

He has shared line-ups with artists like Unhuman, REKA, Headless Horseman, Codex Empire, Parallx, German Affair and NVA, and played in clubs like The Garage of the Bass Valley, LAUT, Macarena and M7 in Barcelona or Lanna Club in Asturias, Spain.

Glasgow based Kenny Campbell (@kenny_campbell) has gained a reputation for delivering hard hitting sets whether they are techno, industrial, EBM or old skool hardcore. He’s as comfortable playing at 100 bpm as he is 300 bpm.

In recent years he’s been a regular at Drøne in Manchester as well as playing all over the UK, Europe and as far aIield as Sri Lanka, with frequent appearances in Germany, France and Netherlands. In his travels he’s played alongside such diverse names as Nitzer Ebb, KRTM, Laurent Ho, Philipp Strobel, Black Kolor, Crystal Geometry, The Horrorist, Easygroove, Autumns, D.Carbone, The Mover and many more. Running the label Pitch Dark Records, initially with Alex Mullen and now on his own, has seen the label go from strength to strength, with releases being supported by many A list names.

As a producer he achieved his life long dream of releasing on Industrial Strength Records. With other notable releases and remixes on Drøne, Eradys, RIOT Radio Records, SHISHI, Revok, OSM Tapes, Nu Body and Tjalk records. His long term collaboration with Huck Farper as Bone Skippers has featured on Monolith Records, Green Fetish Records and Wunderblock with his now proliIic collaboration with Duellist has seen releases on Scuderia, Black Verb, Dissonanze, Clan Destine Records and Instruments of Discipline.

His love of 90s hardcore has been a focus and along with Technotrance they have relaunched Judgement Day Records and collaborated on Malevolent Forces, with the aim of bringing the sound of 90s hardcore to a new generation of ravers and old heads alike.”

We are pleased to build a new bridge between Comodoro Rivadavia (ARG) and Madrid Sur (ESP).

Furatena are proud to reveal the outcome of a new collaboration between two of electro music's most remarkable spanish-speaking artists. Robert Cosmic and Saigg's "Superficial Information" is a unique and exciting hybrid of Electro and Techno sounds.

Opening track "Matdrid" enters a tunnel of lowpitched vocals, moving in a potent exercise of deftly manipulated acid lines. "Adglock" draws pulsating and noisy basslines across expansive, droning synth shots and 140bpm techno rhythms. "Ecaptcha" plunges deep into an electro sound splintered by binary bits and submerged vocal triggers that beckon a scheming melody.

On "Unglock" Roberto and Andrés lead with a thick bass, heavily shapeshifting tones and vocal hits with effects processing. The EP closes with "Translate", a hard-hitting electro track, steaming sonics and arpeggiated acidic bleeps, with a techno bassline diving in subterranean motions.

"Superficial Information" marks the full debut for both artists on Furatena.

El sexto RCB Mixes es de uno de los tótems del techno en España. Angel Molina, en activo desde 1991, es en mi imaginario uno de los primeros djs de la ciudad que yo conocí (a nivel clubber) que alcanzaron una relevancia destacada.

Es un extracto de una hora de su set de Octubre'23 en el Laut. "Techno oscuro, sintético y retorcido, variado y un poco salvaje (el final de la noche)".

-Recuerdo ver flyers donde aparecías como DJ Angel. 
Creo que hasta 1997 no usé el apellido. Fue idea de Ricard Robles (co-director de Sónar y manager mío por entonces). Coincidió con el año en que comencé a trabajar en exclusiva con Advanced Music (agencia gestionada por Sónar). Se hizo con la intención de ofrecer una imagen seria y profesional.

- Recuerdo comprarte discos en La Casa y en Sci-fi. ¿Cuánto tiempo trabajaste allí? 
Aproximadamente 15 años entre las dos, aunque también formé parte de la distribuidora So Dens (posteriormente Red Musical) una temporada.
En Sci-fi, los últimos 5 años Paco Osuna y yo fuimos co-propietarios.

- Hace poco me comentaron que fuiste programador en la sombra de Moog durante años...
Sí, en Moog era el responsable de la programación de las noches 'Wax Sessions', durante aprox. 8 años, pero también asesoraba para otras fechas. Esto lo he hecho de manera regular en los clubs donde he tenido una residencia larga, como The Loft (Razz) o Spunny Bar (sala PIU, Sabadell). El caso de Spunny Bar fui 100% responsable de la programación Techno de los viernes, pero con la ayuda de Miki y Jaume (gracias!) conseguimos que no fuera de dominio público.
También, sin llegar a ser programador, he ejercido de asesor musical (Sónar sería el mejor ejemplo, en bastantes ediciones) y responsable de la contratación de Dj's residentes (Zero en Syndicate, MouseUp aka Absis e Iván Murias en Spunny o Juan B en Moog).
Aunque no me lo preguntas, el motivo por el cual he decidido trabajar en la sombra repetidas veces en mi vida es para evitar posibles conflictos y/o justificar el por qué (o por qué no) de ciertas decisiones. En la actualidad sigo haciéndolo, se trabaja con muchísima más libertad.

- ¿Tres clubes y festivales "importantes" donde hayas actuado? ¿favoritos? ¿Países donde has actuado?
Aunque prácticamente no se sepa, he actuado en todos los continentes excepto en Australia, y la experiencia me ha demostrado que una buena noche se puede dar en cualquier ciudad, club o festival, he aprendido a no mitificar ni generalizar. Como Dj de Techno, obviamente Berlín es LA ciudad, y mis visitas frecuentes a Tresor en el pasado o a Berghain más recientemente serían highlights en mi carrera. Gare de Porto, Laut, Moog y La Industrial Copera también las considero salas imprescindibles. Recientemente he quedado muy satisfecho con mi visita al club Infra (Boston).
Está claro que Sónar encabeza el ranking de festivales, por la confianza depositada y las numerosas ediciones en las que he participado, tanto en Bcn como São Paulo, Tokyo, Seúl, Frankfurt.., aunque como buen amante del Detroit Techno, mi participación en el DEMF (Movement Festival) ocupa un lugar privilegiado. También recuerdo con cariño Le Fest de Túnez, no todos los días se pincha en una antigua mezquita.
Aunque no me guste mirar hacia atrás, no puedo olvidar el trabajo realizado conjuntamente con Diana Ruibal en Argentina durante cerca de una década (especialmente en Buenos Aires), con Sergio Ricciardone (director del festival Club To Club) en Italia, mi paso por clubs emblemáticos como Rex (Paris), Loft (Lausanne), The End (Londres) o Fuse (Bruselas), mis largas residencias en salas como Nitsa o Loft (Barcelona) y Deep (Madrid), o haber formado parte de la rica escena gironina de los 90's /00's.

- Actualmente eres parte de 30D. ¿Cuál es tu cargo?
Por abreviar, A&R. Básicamente me encargo de escuchar y filtrar las demos recibidas, y decidir (siempre junto a Sergio / 30drop) las referencias a editar.
