Experiencing Burning Man for the first time and playing at White Ocean, facing the desert and distant mountains while the sun was setting was definitely a highlight of my year. In that surreal setting in front of a new crowd I took the opportunity to showcase my own music, new and old, so apart from track 2 & 3 this set consists only of my music. As a learned sound engineer he combines electronic music with slow, melodic, deep and ethnic sounds that contain influences from around the world. Established in Kater Blau, he draws his inspiration from the best artists in the genre.

It's a beautiful Friday morning even though the weather in Amsterdam is grey and gloomy. One the day before we find each other for the season closing of Wild as the Moon at De Marktkantine, we look back at one of the best performances at our lunar show this year: Islandman. Needless to say that we will present this trio from Turkey at our beloved festival The Monastery.

Live acts, band performances, musicians, we have seen and adored many. But Islandman is unique in its form. It's a beautiful collaboration of three musicians that brings you two hours of pure bliss.

Mateo is a French artist based in Montreal. He is best known for his Baroque street art and his impressive paintings of oriental rugs which are exhibited worldwide. Always passionate about music and playing various instruments, he now communicates his vibration through the downtempo electronic music channel. Mainly influenced by the sound of Latin America and all his travels across the continent, his style would be defined as a groovy spiritual experience that makes you travel from the South pole to the North Pole but also to the eastern desert.  To honor the lovely island of Jamaica, this dj set is simply my favorite feel good reggae tunes.  You will hear dub, conscious dancehall, lovers rock, ska,  and traditional roots reggae songs. Jamaica's musical influence is also heard in some Latin, West African, Turkish, Arabic, and Isreali tunes as well.  I really tried to tell a story with the songs, so I encourage you to listen closely to the lyrics, which speak about uniting together, becoming a better version of your self, the problems and challenges with money, the joy of smoking marijuana, everyday struggles, living good, and of course, LOVE. Almost all of these tracks I own on vinyl, and I had such a blast recording these all week long, just vibing on down memory lane, in preparation for  this set.
