This project is a reflection into my past where I delve into the experiences that forge who I am today. It is a gift of love to all those who have crossed my path and left me better than how they found me. More than anything, it is a gift of love to myself. Working on this project over the past 18 months with patience and without the pressure of preparing music for the dance floor has allowed me to develop a narrative that is honest, expresses the whole spectrum of emotion, and if the vibe is right—melt the mind

The content includes some short stories I wrote years ago, woven together with a modern twist. Throughout are original pieces by myself including guitar parts and synth lines to augment tracks produced by others. The first 2 parts of this 4 part project have a more experimental and free-flowing format, which begins to crescendo towards the end of Part 2. Parts 3 and 4 will be more energetic and dance floor friendly.

It was a great honor to play for all my friends last Friday night in this legendary club in my favorite room at the top of the club (Tanzstube) from 1:00 to 2:30AM.

Friday Morning, Burning Man 2024

Burning Man and its community have profoundly impacted us as artists for over seven years. Both Dave and I, Replicah, have been musicians since childhood, and it was Burning Man’s 365-day community that inspired us to become DJs during the pandemic.

After three years of playing at Burning Man camps, we had our debut on the Polaris Art Car in Deep Playa this year—a truly magical Friday morning. As we approached, the Polaris Art Car (https://www.instagram.com/polaristheartcar/) emerged from the night and dust like a rising star, meeting us and our Electric Cheese Land camp family, who were serving Swiss fondue out on the Deep Playa (check them out at https://www.instagram.com/electric_cheese_land/) during our set. The gathering took place at the Polychroma Art Installation (Rainbow) by In Theory Art Collective (https://www.instagram.com/in_theory_art/).

We played from the last dark moments of night into the magical awakening of the sun, reaching that peak moment as daylight broke, flooding Deep Playa with intense feelings. Anyone who’s been to Burning Man knows that profound moment. Our set was crafted as a journey—from the dark, intense force of a Burning Man night to the dawn of a new day and the magic of feeling truly alive, connected with every soul across the desert and the world.

So prepare yourself for a journey—When Shadows Become Sunfire.

Freshness, groove and love of the electronic music. Carlos Chavez is a Canary Islands DJ with more than 12 years of career and more than 20.000 mensual listeners in Soundcloud. He is DJ resident of Papagayo Beach club, the best club in Tenerife and the most recognized club of Canary Islands. There, Carlos has been playing music in his native island and positioning himself in the national scene for more than 10 years.

The music that Carlos plays is characterized by being fresh and dynamic. Carlos devises and executes his sessions for the creation of energetic atmospheres, and transports listeners to stimulating ambiences, where they can enjoy nightlife and the dance floor. Yaz is a San Francisco-based DJ who enjoys playing tech house, deep tech, minimal, and techno. He is an active member of the Burning Man community and underground house/techno community in San Francisco.

Yaz has played all over San Francisco at all the major venues, including Public Works, Mighty / The Great Northern, Monarch, Midway, and Halcyon. He was a resident DJ at the venerated Wish Lounge for 5+ years, running his monthly Wayward party right up until the pandemic caused Wish to close. Once it was safe to do so, he has taken Wayward to its new home F8 Nightclub, and has been a resident there since August 2021. 

Yaz has collaborated with many different promoters and labels, and has opened and closed for (or shared billing with) well-known artists including John Digweed, Bob Moses, The Scumfrog, Tommy Four Seven, John Monkman, Technasia, and Marques Wyatt, to name a few.

His love for Burning Man is only rivaled by his love for music. His styles go from deep tech, minimal and techno to indie dance. You can find him on the playa playing for his camp DeMentha, and everywhere else for The Janky Barge, Airpusher, and Icarus. Yaz has also participated in many fundraisers in San Francisco for the aforementioned camps, as well as DISTRIKT, Mayan Warrior, the Salty Jacks, and others.

Influences from Tulum, Ibiza and New York inspired him to his current style of Organic & Melodic House music with a touch of Deep House, Orient- and Afro-Tribal sounds.

syost’s journey began in his youth by playing guitar in a funk, blues and rock band. His creative flare opened him up to his second love of electronic music.
 
These two loves ignited an idea within, to mix electronic music with live instruments. This fusion enabled him to combine his creative passion for both styles.
 
syost attended the music producer Academy in Zurich and since finishing his school, he has been given free rein to explore his musical creativity, in which he mixes his guitar craft from earlier times with his electro tracks...

At the beginning of their legendary gatherings within the Burning Man community, there was rarely anyone DJing in their circle. Instead of continuing with parties powered by an iPhone and a UE Boom, Replicah and Dave the Samurai, known as ABOUT:BLANK, decided to initiate something. They drove to the music store and bought their first Pioneer controller. Their first-ever live set was at FAB in 2020. Neither of the two had DJed before, but with Replicah's experience as a seasoned composer, songwriter, and producer since her teenage years, and Dave being a talented multi-instrumentalist, they quickly found their rhythm as a DJ duo.

Little did they know what the future held. Today, their community has grown alongside others, hosting incredible large-scale events filled with creativity and amazing artists.

During the ongoing lockdown, they realized how much they missed their community. Needing connection, music, and a reason to dance—even while stuck at home—they started a live stream that turned living rooms into virtual interactive dance floors, allowing everyone around the world a chance to party.

Their sets flow between tech house, indie dance, playa tech, and techno, blending mystical, heavy vibes with electrifying, sexy energy. Followers here on SoundCloud describe their sound as "where rainbow meets fire," infused with humor and legendary track selections.
