I went to my first burn this year at Kiez Burn and had the honor of playing on the incredible artcar Mogli. This was the absolute highlight of my burn: a faster, harder set, an amazing crowd, and Mogli’s sound system, smoke, and lights making the night feel really special.

Halfway through my set, @ouhana suddenly appeared next to me. Neither of us knew the other was at Kiez Burn, so it was a lovely surprise. He asked me if there were still any slots left on Mogli, but the lineup was already completely packed. So instead, I offered him to join me for a spontaneous b2b for the last 30 minutes of my set.

There was one problem though: his USB stick wasn’t being fully recognized, which meant no playlists, no metadata and no keys. Just folders within folders of tracks. We were almost giving up, but then we said fuck it, went for it anyway, and managed to make it work. The energy was already high, but it jumped even higher when we played together. It turned into one of those pure, joyful DJ moments I’ll never forget.

No photos were taken, but fortunately the set was recorded, including crowd reactions. Including those always makes it even more fun to relive in my opinion.

Thanks to all the burners who danced with me, to the whole Mogli crew aka my campmates, and to Ouhana for making this night even more fun!

Live at Barning Ma'am [08-08-25]

Though I've played at Burn in the Forest (now What If!?) before, this was my first time playing at the Bootti Frutti stage.  I was very excited to be playing Friday night and decided to bring full energy into my set to get the crowd moving to begin the night.  It was warm, we got sweaty. But I had fun!  I threw in a bunch of remixed throwbacks as usual and I brought the tempo up to 135 later in the set just for fun. Hope you enjoy!

Often referred to as “The Mustache King”, Cameron Angeli was born, raised and lives in Los Angeles, California. A post-production network television executive by-day, Cameron works with some of the industry’s leading composers, sound supervisors, sound mixers, sound engineers and sound recordists to sculpt award winning sound for premium TV series. By night, he weaves unique DJ sets with musical tastes as eclectic as his journey from childhood to today. Cameron combs the sonic landscape for sounds, loops, songs, albums, labels, artists, DJs and bands that will fit into the large mosaic depicting his utopia: emotion-filled music.

Cameron has worked his way through the International Electronic Dance Music Scene: a resident at Avalon Hollywood, the bassist in Quivver aka John Graham’s Live band, the second in command at Joshua Heath’s Label Golden State Recordings, and most notably, the Co-Founder of Music Savages – a DJ collective, Theme Camp, and 15-year staple of Los Angeles and the Burning Man community. Cameron composes and sound supervises for short films, YouTube series, and indie films, and DJs throughout North America at clubs, bars, pool parties, boat parties, festivals and undergrounds. Solatic, also known as Luca, grew up in a small town near Berlin. From an early age, he felt a strong connection to music and to the sun – a symbol of warmth and brightness that matched his energy. The name Solatic is a twist on Lunatic, replacing luna (moon) with sol (sun) to reflect that light-filled part of himself.

Music has been a constant in Luca’s life, but just listening was never enough: he wanted to create. After moving to Berlin in 2014 and experimenting with a few teenage garage bands, he found new inspiration in the city’s colorful club culture. The openness, diversity, and emotional depth of the scene gave him the space to explore his own voice – both literally and artistically.

In 2018, he started his electronic music project Solatic, blending vocals and instruments into melodic, dreamy tracks that reflect his wide emotional range. His music moves between playfulness and introspection, high energy and gentle calm – always inviting listeners to feel something real.

Today, Luca is part of the Amselcom team and helps run the label, continuing to build community and support other artists while growing his own unique sound.
