To celebrate 20 years of building Labyrinths, we have decided to release one set from each of the last ten years. I've chosen ten timeless moments that both document the history of the event and provide a historical snapshot of underground electronic music over the past ten years.

We have chosen a broad range--from closing techno sets, to morning ambient sets, to experimental sets to close the night. Each set represents a different side of the event. Taken together, they present a portrait of a decade of music.

テクノのクロージングセットから、朝のアンビエントセット、そして夜を締めくくるエクスペリメンタルセットまで幅広いセレクトですが、どのセットもThe Labyrinthの欠かせない側面を表しており、ここ10年におけるエレクトロニック ミュージックの全容とも言えるでしょう。

Zen polymath Sebastien Mullaert’s project Circle of Live marshals a raft of diverse global talents for ‘free-flowing collaborative jam sessions in clubs around the world’. This time round it brought together the Swedish musician himself, plus Spazio Disponibile gaffer Neel and the moody soundscapes of German techno-pundit VRIL as part of their ongoing collaboration. What’s clear for anyone following these three trajectories: the trio couldn’t be more perfectly aligned, their occult compositions are bound by a set of influences that border on the metaphysical. The music itself: meditative, deep, ruminant and transformative. Textured layer upon layer, these preternatural melodies and jerking beats are sublime astral audio from another dimension: Bassiani Podcast 170 is a freeform and mind-expanding journey through uncharted waters recorded live at the club back in December.

The tunnel is a magical stage and im very grateful to have been asked to play the Saturday late afternoon set, before one of my biggest electronic-music inspirations, voices from the lake. I took the opportunity, considering the impeccable programming, open minded crowd, and perfect soundsystem to play a more slow building, delicate festival set - which felt very true to my real taste, and an homage to many of my deepest and longest standing inspirations. Next up in our mix series is Human Space Machine. Hailing from Amsterdam, the dutchman has found his way into electronic music by channeling movement into rhythmical cadences, crafting a sound that exists at the intersection of techno, house, and experimental electronic music. His productions are often trippy yet inviting, and released on respected labels like Nous’klaer Audio and De Lichting, the latter which he co-founded. 

In this mix Mike takes us on a 1,5 hour voyage through moisty atmospheres. Slick underwater grooves meets slimey deep cave techno, in a masterclass of mysterious and murky world-building and slow tension manipulation. Momentum gradually rising, via twisted acid and waterlogged minimalism.

Hailing from Munich, Polygonia is a core member of the IO and Lowless collectives, who together form a family and outlet for deep techno across Europe. Her own production work is captivating, swathed in brooding ambience and revealed through moments of vibrant emotion, captured well in her recently released full-length "In The Dead Of Night." Here she effortlessly weaves her own tracks with those of her contemporaries, and the result is intoxicating.
