DGTL Records marks its fifth anniversary in style with brand new album ‘5YRS of DGTL Records’. The 14-track long player is released on April 16th as a 4x 12” vinyl set and drops digitally across 4 separate EP releases between February 18 and April 1, of which the second one features Dax J, Deniro and JP Enfant. The latter two make their return to DGTL Records, having released full EP’s of there own.

5YRS of DGTL Records is a perfect reflection of not just of the label itself but also its global event patron: headliners sitting equally alongside local talent and up-and-coming acts. Over the past five years, DGTL Records has grown into its own as a fully-fledged musical arm of the overall DGTL musical experience.

Dax J kicks off the second release with ‘Molotonic Beats’, a hard-hitting 
industrial powerhouse of a tune. High in undying energy and drive from the get-go, the track is splattered with skin crawling synths, dirty kicks and fat bass lines that’s perfect for any weekender party.
Deniro’s ‘DhundredX’ is a club ready track that draws you in from the start. Hypnotic melodies bleed in between the layers of his productions as the evolving drum pattern creates a vivid soundscape that sets you in a state of trance.
The last track of this second release is by JP Enfant, ‘Generate’, sets itself apart with its percussion tucked behind it’s driving energy, progressive kicks and erratic synths.

Uncertain drops heaving five-tracker ‘Escape’ on Rekids Special Projects this November.

Formerly known as Boriqua Tribez, Uncertain has been a driving force in electronic music for over two decades, releasing music under a host of aliases across a number of respected labels. With recent appearances on Kneaded Pains, Suara, and Tronic amongst others, Uncertain now sets his sights to Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects, delivering five bone-crushing techno tracks for the label.

Leading the release is the title track ‘Escape’, a high energy start to the EP. ‘Base’ follows with a dose of funk as warped samples and rumbling kicks twist into a rolling groove, before ‘Crush’ brings swinging drums and vocal snippets together for a rowdy cut. ‘Transmit’ marries synth stabs with heavy low-end and subtle hooks before ‘Organic’ closes the release with a direct combination of wonky pads, classic drum machines, and cleverly utilised FX.

Soma label heads Slam curate a specially designed package of tracks to finalise their Archive Edit project that sees them delve deep into Techno’s past to bring some of the genre’s best tracks into the modern age. The Archive Edit project started as a way for Slam to showcase and share the many different edits that had made their way into their DJ sets over the last few years. The pairing of Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle have both raided their extensive collections, picking out tracks that have defined countless sets over their career. Tracks from luminaries such as Nitzer Ebb, Thomas P Heckmann (as Silent Breed), Damon Wild & Terrence Fixmer have been re-edited alongside some of Slam’s own unreleased material, showcasing the duo’s current sound; one that constantly naturally evolves, matures and demonstrates why the duo have been at the forefront of the global scene since its inception.

“We resurrect nine cuts from our archive collective collections for your listening and spinning pleasure. Some are original material, some are live re-edits, some are well-known, others are not! They all have one thing in common, they all attempt to unashamedly destroy dancefloors, and thus featured heavily, (usually toward the end of our DJ sets) in the last year or so well known”. Now we share them with you!"

Slam open the album with an absolute monster track in the form of their rework of the legendary Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Join In The Chant’. The anthemic EBM/post-punk infused original is given a thrashing overhaul from the duo marking one of the standout tracks of this collection.  A special live rework of fan favourite ‘Scorpion’ drops before the previously unreleased ‘Memoriam’ delivers on a more emotive tip. Firing back into the edits is Thomas P Heckmann’s seminal ‘Sync In’, under his Silent Breed Moniker which is a fast-paced, Neo-Trance affair Slam then drop the manic ‘1001’ which takes the BPM stratospheric. DK8’s, Murder Was The Bass is up next and given a 2019 update as the duo's edit snatches up all the most perfect elements of the track leading nicely into a rework of French EBM legend Terence Fixmer’s ‘Body Pressure’ - driving through with its twisted beats and vocals. Another special live edit of the first Archive Edit release, Damon Wild’s Rotary makes an appearance as the album closes out with the rave infected, rework of the Hertz classic ‘Recreate’
