From September 2015, I was watching this during its creation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GjKETtkSlc       ... i used a lot of automation on the snare and hats to break up the static nature of the chosen sounds, snare is from my 606 which is playing up, the hat is open all the time, and even when i have it turned down it comes through a touch, so with a gate on, you still get a bit more noise in the snare, ha. Oh and this photo is my mum, mid 70's, photo by dad .. song 117a

Born Free bosses and Stockholm's duo Sling & Samo have used the label to premiere music from the likes of Axel Boman, Baba Stiltz and Jaakko Eino Kalevi – as well as sounds of their own. This month they introduce their second release by enigmatic Tokyo-based producer Powder. Her Born Free follow-up to the Spray EP comes in the form of a three-track variety show of quirky electronic sounds. Our pick of the bunch – "Fridhemsplan" – takes a more serious turn from the A side. Delving into quietly bubbling analogue sounds layered up as opposed to progressing throughout – all reminiscent of your favourite minimal producer from Berlin.

You may well have already noticed my mentions of Rob Clouth.  He’s one of the best producers there is, in my opinion.  Such original, hyper-detailed beautiful sound design and melodic forms, the complete package really. For ambient lovers I suggest checking the title “Transition” track first, and for those of you after something more club-oriented then “Shedding Layers” is, well, try it out and you’ll see what happens, it’s been one of the biggest tracks in my sets of recent months.
