Haunt the Woods are a folk band from Cornwall...

Hi I'm Mark. I've been a drummer and musician for about 15 years, and have a diverse mix of live, recording and teaching experience. I'm originally from Worcestershire where I studied music tech and played extensively around the Midlands before moving to Bristol in 2008 to undertake a BA (Hons) in Professional Musicianship. Here I gained valuable industry experience and worked with many songwriters and musicians - developing my instrumental, studio and performance skills, as well as studying music theory, history, culture and business. During my degree and in the following years I've played in many bands and gigged across most of the major venues in Bristol until about 2016 when I moved to Devon. 

To me music is about self-expression and creativity. Playing with feel, great tone and a range of dynamics, from doing simple things well and playing for the song, to being more experimental.

The recordings included here are a selection of tracks from the bands I've been a part of. Some recordings are better than others (some as a youngster), but I'm still immensely proud of the music I've created and am happy to share it! Thanks for listening.

Club Brothers came about due to a happy accident. Richard James was promoting his new EP  ‘The Way home’ and decided to create a live music video in a church and asked his two friends Adam ‘in the hat’ Moran and Leigh ‘looks like harry potter sounds like Luther Vandross’ Coleman to provide harmonies on his track ‘undone’
What followed was an experience so harmonically transcendent that Richard on the Spot suggested we should do it more often. 18 months later and Club Brothers have gigged up and down the country playing on stages small (the old firehouse exeter) and large (creation fest), and entered the studio last month to record their Debut Ep (coming in October).
