► About:
Schtu was born at the start of the 90s in Sheffield, an ex-industrial city in the north of England. Always obsessed with music, he spent his teenage years playing guitar in bands and in 2010 he bought a pair of Technics 1210s and started to collect records to DJ with.

He started producing his own music soon after, and has since gone on to release on established labels such as URSL, Connaisseur Recordings and Laut & Luise, receiving DJ support on his tracks from scene heavyweights such as Adriatique, Frankey & Sandrino, Super Flu and Adana Twins.

2021 then saw the launching of Schtu’s own label - Casomat (@casomatberlin), with the debut release (Schtu - ‘Siberian Express EP’) receiving a 10/10 review from German print magazine Faze Mag.

Armed with a healthy collection of analogue gear he now has both the tools and the talent to step up his game and take his music to the next level.

🎵 Der heutige Katahaifisch Podcast ist mal wieder ein Hochgenuss der gepflegten Down- und Midtempo-Kunst. Bouncy, dirty und auch ein bisschen verspielt serviert uns Piet van Noord seine persönlichen Favoriten des Genres. Der Münchner DJ und Produzent ist mittlerweile seit über 20 Jahren an den Decks und seine Expertise unverkennbar. Seine Diskografie und seinen Erfahrungsschatz zieren über 150 Auftritte. 2017 rief van Noord dann auch eine eigene Veranstaltungsreihe ins Leben. In München ist er regelmäßig im Bahnwärter Thiel und Zur Gruam zu sehen und hören. Darüber hinaus ist Piet van Noord auch Host einer eigenen Radioshow und begrüßt regelmäßig hochkarätige Gäste und Ausnahmetalente wie Oliver Koletzki, Township Rebellion oder auch Ben Böhmer.

Here are modern urban myths that stand the test of time and are considered unspoken truths. Nowhere written down, they are passed on from mouth to ear and only exist in people's heads. They persist and are part of the respective culture.
There are also stories like this in the electro scene that fire people's imagination. The parties at Warehouse Chicago in the late 70s are considered the mother of all house parties. Animalistic scenes were said to have taken place there while Frankie Knuckles rained down his marathon sets on the crowd. Pure ecstasy rippled through the bodies of those present and the crowd was no longer made up of individuals, but was one big energy-filled being that had developed an uncontrollable life of its own. A movement emerged that anyone could belong to and which was referred to as "Jack" in later tracks. The urban legend of Jack is still used in tracks and mixtapes today. Of course, this is just one of many myths that have developed in electronic dance music.
Perhaps with the deep story of Pia Pan & Heyoka we will be able to create a new modern myth that will bring people together again and let them melt into ecstasy. A mixtape that fires people's imagination and will be the subject of many myths in the future.

I played this one for a very curious and intimate crowd. The beauty of a crowd like this is, it gives you the chance to - after gaining their trust - musically send them from here to there to everywhere and play some weird shit you normally would not dare to touch… so that is what I did ;)
