The project highlights the deep melodic sensibilities that have become synonymous with the label, while offering a variety of interpretations that expand its reach even further.

The original mix and instrumental version showcase the seamless synergy between Kirwan, Lucas Ramos, and Juan Fernandez, blending hypnotic grooves with heartfelt vocal lines. To complement these, an impressive international remix roster steps in: Donny Carr and Taylan, both hailing from the USA, provide their own atmospheric reworks, each capturing unique shades of the track's emotional core. From the Netherlands, Lark Rise rounds out the package with a reinterpretation that balances depth and drive, adding another layer of richness to the release.

Closing the EP, "Together" brings Kirwan and Lucas Ramos back into the spotlight with a powerful original cut, reaffirming their chemistry and artistic vision.

The latest release from Balkan Connection finds Serge Lander returning to the label for a new EP. The Ukrainian artist made his debut on the Serbian imprint in January of 2018 with the well received ‘Twilight’, before going on to release a second EP and a remix in 2019. Now following 2020 releases for Clinique Recordings and Electronic Tree, Serge returns to Balkan Connection with ‘Distortions’ alongside remixes from Donny Carr and Ed Steele.

This expansive pack begins with the title selection ‘Distortion’ which comes with a variety of smooth hypnotic concepts. Tough beats and detailed percussion lay the framework for a myriad of meandering synth motifs which combine for a uniquely ethereal journey. The second selection ‘The Elements’ follows suit with a similar vibe, quite melancholic with it’s pensive overlays and muted tones, but with a charged groove the message is sure to get delivered to the dance floor. ‘Time’ rounds out the originals with an eerie, effects laden narrative highlighted by luminous tones and cascading themes. Colourful and engaging, it makes for a quality late night vibe that should find favour with a broad range of old school progressive DJs.

The lone interpretation of ‘The Elements’ is provided by Ed Steele who makes his label debut. Releases on Sprout and One Of A Kind have highlighted a strong year for the UK artist who continues that momentum with a great remix here. Adding punch, drive and electricity have worked wonders in bringing Serge’s trippy concepts closer to the dance floor. Elastic-like synths highlight the first act, flowing through emotive chord changes and mind bending modulation, before an icy final break resets the groove for a driving finish.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Time’ is Donny Carr who returns to the label for his second appearance. The US artist first appeared on the Serbian imprint in October of last year with a well received remix of Sam Scheme’s ‘Mrs. Zateeva’. 2020 has seen the Salt Lake City resident land releases on Juicebox Music and Mango Alley, with a remix on Droid9 also forthcoming. Here he brings his smooth progressive approach to ‘Time’ with great success. The hypnotic sensibility is high with a smooth yet commanding groove, charged rhythms and fiery percussion uniting for a stellar first act. The main themes get re-worked across the main break, bringing more of a surreal vibe, before the mood shifts once more as the groove drops for a chugging, atmospheric finale. A gorgeous remix from Donny which rounds out another great offering from Balkan Connection. Don’t miss it.

Coldplay Feat. No Sonic Limits & Progress Inn - Whatever Comes Midnight (Jose Tabarez MashUp)| FREE

The latest release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Dowden and Adrian Roman to the label for their debut single. The former sits as one of Canada's premiere progressive house talents, having earned the support of top international DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Guy Manztur and John OO Fleming, while finding a home on Beatfreak, Soundteller and JOOF Recordings.
The latter, hailing from Spain boasts a similarly impressive resume with releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Beatfreak and Uner's Solar Distance. Having worked together once previously on DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique, Dowden and Adrian now debut on Clubsonica with 'White Rain', alongside remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Simos Tagias.

Beginning with the original mix its clear the duo's creative synergy has only grown since their first collaborative effort. Tough beats, clattering drums and an ominous effects narrative begin the seven-minute journey. Senses heighten as astral synths and hypnotic arps unite across a foreboding backdrop. Anticipatory and tense, the main break saturates your senses with phasing noise, before a bed of sizzling electronics sparks a timely drop and thrilling finale.

The first interpretation of 'White Rain' is provided by Dmitry Molosh who makes a welcome return to the label. Having made his Clubsonica debut in 2016 with a contribution to the labels ADE Sampler, the Belarus native has since gone on to provide two additional singles while also showcasing his music on Cid Inc's Replug Records, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren's Hope Recordings. Now following a remix of Quivver's 'Forest Moon', Dmitry returns to Clubsonica with a powerful rendition of 'White Rain'. Backed by a chunky, house inspired groove, Dmitry has carved out a strong foundation, complemented with rhythmic pulses and percussive drive. Club friendly in design yet hypnotic in delivery, it's fragmented motifs and hopeful overlays slowly engulf the framework, eventually carrying the piece into an emotive break. As the groove strips down, harmonic phrases converge, opening up for moments of reflective warmth, before a rush of drums shifts energy into a groovy finale.

Providing the second and final interpretation of 'White Rain' is Simos Tagias returns to the label for his second appearance. As one of the most recognized names in progressive house, the Athens resident has showcased his music on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. Having made his Clubsonica debut in 2018 with a well received remix of Armandhe's 'Ozadya', Simos now returns with a peak time take on 'White Rain'. Taking a cue from the original while adding a techno state of mind, the Greek artist carves out a dynamic groove adorned with astral sonics, firing drums and fresh rhythmic themes. Devilish stabs and cosmic arps continue to push momentum forward, before melting down into a cavernous break. Emotive yet tense, the one-minute interlude is a delight, with it's mind-bending modulation and methodical build ending in a trail of sonic decay and striking re-entry. It caps off a hugely successful project from Dowden and Adrian Roman, one which makes for a unique release and further solidifies Clubsonica's place amongst progressive music's elite labels.

A vivid sonic palette glows brightly from a cathedral of sound created by Fernando Olaya. A subterranean bassline from the depths of the Zapiqura salt mines radiates in warm tones. An echo to a French electronic icon reverberates through "Ethnicolor", sparkling arpeggios ripple outwards in gloriously emotive patterns and sumptuous underlying melody, bound together with driving rhythm and syncopated percussion. A charismatic array of sounds appears "Face to Face" communicating a powerful symbiotic relationship between rhythm and melody.
