This week we welcome the talented Oceanvs Orientalis (Live) [Magic Movement] and LUM [Rebellion]. Fresh off performances at Maya Hearts and Day Zero, in Tulum, Mexico... these talented newcomers are taking the world by storm with their fresh take on electronic music -- consisting of a plethora of world music influences laid upon a bed of slowly percolating grooves, creating a sound that is deep, intelligent and altogether infectious while remaining danceable.

OCEANVS ORIENTALIS Live @ the Mixmag Lab NYC

Kicking off the week with this groovy psychedelic soundscape set played by Safak OzKutle AKA “Oceanvs Orientalis” is a formation which aims to challenge the aesthetic perception in electronic music.

It blends itself with the archaelogic tunes of mankind’s cumulative musical history and in this very context believes that “everything comes from the east”.

Despite of being an electronic-based formation -due to practical reasons- at the moment, it intends to transform into a dance (to move the body and feet to music) orchestra where each instrument will be played by its own instrumentalist.
