The word Noggle means to scrape through.  I struggled with this tune to get it to come together, finish it and then to be able to play it without stuffing up. Seemed like the right title!

This tune is really the "Recovered Quill". I finished recording it and went to get a cup of coffee.  Whilst in the kitchen there was a very brief power interruption  (storm). I immediately thought my computer  would have shut down and I hadn't saved the recording. Fortunately Windows recovered the lost file

I put this together after an encounter with one of these rather large ducks on the shore of the Canning River yesterday morning>  I have recorded a video version of this without the fiddle - on my Youtube

I wrote and recorded this for my daughter's birthday.  She had pointed out that I had done tunes for all three of her kids but not for her.

Monkey Island

The idea for this tune came to me while walking through this park on a hill near where I live.  That weird structure is a great lookout over the city of Perth suburbs. Originally this was the site of a Wireless Telegraphy Station built in 1912. The surrounding park is full if birds and in Spring the best wildflowers.  
Just after recording this, the nut on my guitar broke!!

After my last upload the nut flaked off a bit that let the second string slip out of its groove and into the top string's groove - hence the photo.  Thanks to speedy repair from luthier Ross Coole.
It was recorded with triple tracked guitar.  Sort of one in each channel L&R and the 3rd in the middle.  You will only hear that on headphones I think

Coole's Fix

This tune started to ruminate on New Year's Eve before I went to bed (early) and then I put it together and recorded it on New Year's Day in the morning. Triple tracked guitar and a touch of fiddle

Last Flame of 23

I put this together during the week before my 70th birthday. The lasting connections in life  are what make it all worthwhile.  I thought the picture of the twisted tree trunk summed it all up as well as any music.
