This is the ORIGINAL and OFFICAL REGGAEMATIC SOUND, also known as MATIC SOUND.  This sound system was established in 1986 and is based in NEW YORK, USA.  Members are: VINCE a.k.a VINCE MATIC (The Boss), GENERAL, MIKEY DON,  and SIGNATURE A.

Background:
Inspired by various sound systems in the mid/late 1980’s, a group of friends (VINCE, DIP, CULTURE, GOVY, TONY TIGER & GENERAL) from various Caribbean islands living in BROOKLYN, NEW YORK started to emulate various DJs and singers on various sound systems.  The group of friends will DJ and sing at various neighborhood basement parties, local halls and summer block/street parties, etc.  The group called themselves the REGGAEMATIC CREW, commonly referred to as the MATIC CREW.

As the years progress, it was clear that a sound system was needed.  So, in the mid/late 1980’s, VINCE and DIP began building REGGAEMATIC SOUND SYSTEM.  However, with DIP joining the US Navy early in the building process, VINCE continued to build REGGAEMATIC SOUND.   REGGAEMATIC SOUND began promoting and playing weekly parties in basements, local halls, and neighborhood summer block/street parties in BROOKLYN.

As the sound system popularity grew in BEDFORD STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN and the dancehall era changed from live DJ and singing to the juggling/dubplate era, new members PAUL G and MIKEY DON joined the sound.

Today, the current members of the sound are:  VINCE a.k.a VINCE MATIC (The Boss), GENERAL, MIKEY DON, and SIGNATURE A.  PAUL G is no longer a member of this sound.  REGGAEMATIC SOUND continue to provide musical joy playing for various events …..Bless

A brief story:
Marco aka Dj Mena, was born in 1974 in Lecco with a talent for drawing and painting. 
From the age of 14 I started playing with his band called Ameba, a mixture of electronic and rock styles.

In ‘97 is co-founder of Mother inc. one of the more influent drum and bass & dub step crew in Italy. In 98 started “Inner Vibes” on Radio Network 104 and Lifegate which aimed to spread the new sounds coming from the European club scene. 
Given my propensity to the jazzy way of approach on music, during my sets I starts from nu jazz broken beat and samba jazz from the 40’s and get through the most current deep-house and Jazzy-house releases, revealing a very eclectic style that looks to the dancefloor as far to the hear floor.

He plays usually with three plates one of which is used as a sampler. He is used to play in combo with live musicians.

With Mother inc. He played with Roni Size, Krust, Dynamite Mc, Mc Tali, Dealers of Nordic Music, D’Malicious, with Borg and Forss (Sonar Kollektiv), Hird & Yukimi Nagano (DNM - Compost), Plej (Exceptional), Quant (Hollow recordings), Parov Stelar (stage noir), Crookers (Defected), Steve Aoki, Koop, Talvin Singh, Santos, Ken Ishii, Skream, Benga, Parov Stelar, The Chemical Brothers and some of the best Italian djs.

As a solo artist he played with many Free jazz artists as Barre Philipps and Michel Doneda.

He was italian finalist for Movida Corona in 2013.
He played in many clubs around my hometown, Lecco on the lake of Como and in Milan like Magnolia, Gasoline and Tunnel, in genova at 74 Artsystem. In Japan like Soft & Yellow club in Tokyo, at Kulturhuset in Stuttgart, in Sweden at Konstfack, Club World and Bacci in Stockholm, Up und framat in Gothenburg, in Switzerland at Palace Hotel, Crystal Hotel - St. Moritz, Parkhotel Vitznau Lucerne, Hotel Krone in Zurich.

At some historical Italian super clubs such as Maffia in Reggio Emilia, Pergola in Milan ....

At some events such as the Street Parade of Bologna, Re-set!, le torte fatte in casa, Salone del Mobile in Milan, Mix-id in Bergamo, Nu-Summer Groov Festival in Genova.

Royal Vibes is an Italian Reggae Dancehall DJ with an international background.
 
From a very young age she fell in love with rhythms such as Calypso, Mento, and, above all, Reggae, finding her soul deeply connected with the message and its culture.
 
She began her musical journey as keyboardist in a local Reggae band to later start her own project as DJ.
She lived in Brooklyn NY and Mexico City, where she performed and collaborated with new artists of the scene.
 
Her DJ sets are unique in their genre and contain the best of Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeat and Soca music.
 
Currently she performs in many musical venues and clubs around Italy and overseas : U.S., Mexico, Jamaica.
In summer 2022 she’s in the lineup at Rototom Sunsplash Festival, Spain,  Dancehall Stage.
 
She fully believes in the power of music as a universal language capable of breaking down any border and conventional barriers, where the dance floor is an inclusive dimension, a safe place of expression where togetherness exists.

"Slakah the Beatchild", or “Beatchild” as he is now known, has been making our heads nod with his signature soulful sound since the inception of his iconic Soul Movement Volumes I (2008) and II (2012).
