Guided by polyrhythmic influences & cathartic bass, our next artist crafts every oscillation purposefully and with clear direction. Her two EPs on YUKU( with Nomäa being named Best Bandcamp Release of April) are the prime example of this; finding a way to interlink them not only by the obvious Part I & II of Donker Dag, but also by creating a balance between them both rhythmically and soundscape-wise. 

We are of course talking about Leese, based in Brussels, who has gained recognition for her unique style blending break and tribal influences performing at clubs and festivals throughout Europe. On stage, Leese delivers a passionate and energetic performance, mesmerizing her audience with her powerful beats and enchanting atmospheres. She is becoming increasingly well-known in the electronic/bass music scene and her project is continually evolving and developing.

Get ready for an hour of pure delirium.

We have the pleasure of welcoming the New York-born, Paris-based songwriter, performer, and DJ to our milestone 250th episode of the series. Louisahhh is a well-established moniker in the scene, with releases on labels like Discos Atónicos and her own label RAAR co-founded with her creative partner Maelstrom in 2015 with the duo just releasing their first collaborative LP,' Sustained Resistance'. 
It has been lauded as “a very brutal, brave, and beautiful body of work” (Decoded Mag).  The two are presently preparing a live-hybrid tour in support of their album, so they hope to see you in the pit.

BIO - 
After an initial interest in Hip-Hop/Turntablism culture as a teenager, Dschen soon
became attracted by the early Atmospheric & Liquid Drum'n'Bass sound, which led to his first gigs and experiences as a club DJ. This was until around 2007. More than 15 years later the focus of his DJ sets today lies mainly on hypnotic, deep or driving Techno and organic halftime grooves, sometimes merging both styles in the same set through proper track selection and mixing techniques. Current DJ sets are regularly published in his own "Temporary Escape Podcast“ on SoundCloud and YouTube. 

In addition to his activity as a DJ, Dschen has delved deep into the world of modular synthesizers in recent years, following a long phase of experimenting with different production and composition methods. Now his tracks are created as intuitively as possible, often by recording live jams in the studio to capture a special sound aesthetic and authenticity. His debut album “One Armed Statue“ (see below) came out in early 2023 on the Mexican label,  https://soundcloud.com/secuencias_temporales, and embodies this recent artistic development. Focusing on deep, organic Downtempo Techno, halftime tracks and Ambient on the mentioned LP, his upcoming releases will also delve into faster and more driving Techno territory. Stay tuned!
