The latest edition of the SEMCAST series comes courtesy of Evasion & Conman. Blending jungle, 140 jungle, breakbeat hardcore, and drum and bass, the mix cuts a sharp path through the duo’s own productions alongside a wide spectrum of influences, tracing the lineage of the UK underground while pushing into darker, futuristic territory. Packed with heavy percussion, rolling break edits, and atmospheric depth, the mix doesn’t just showcase where Evasion & Conman have come from — it hints at where they’re headed. Fans will catch glimpses of the energy and tension that define their upcoming “Clones” EP.

Back around 2011 after hearing Cowboy Town and being really into it the C4C guys asked me if I've like to remix something from their back catalogue and I said I'd love trying something on Paranormal (if you don't know the original go check it because its ace - http://cause4concern.bandcamp.com/track/paranormal )

Both C4C and myself were never 100% on it, and then I think I had some other projects needed finishing so sadly I never went back in on it.

Today was yet again another lovely day of playing this music. I swear I get to being a whirling dervish in that studio. Just throw some records on and hope it works out. Thankfully the records are amazing. 

It was a thrill to play the first version of my new song RISE today. Opius did amazing drum work on this, and it's been a very fun experience to work with him. 

Now I am scheming/dreaming for the Memphis jazz big band arrangement but we shall talk about that later.
