Han ville så gerne være fri, 
uden et tøjr at slå sig i
og uden de bånd vi plejer, 
at binde hinanden med.
Han befandt sig som en fisk i vandet 
når han ikke havde ansvar for andet,
end sig selv og sit eget liv 
og han vi' bare ha' det skægt.

For dem der blev hvirvlet ind i hans liv 
og stod på hans kærlighedskarrusel 
der ku' det godt bli' svært, 
igen at finde sig selv.
For når man er vant til at kærlighed, 
det skal være noget der varer ved,
så kan man brænde sig af helvede til 
på én der ser det som et spil.

Han tog dem alle som de dukkede op, 
var der én med en dejlig krop,
tog han hende med sig hjem, 
for at prøve hende i en seng.

Selv om både du og jeg ku' se, 
at ham var der ikke noget særligt ve',
faldt de for ham på stribe 
og dansede efter hans pibe.
Hva' der godt ka' undre sådan no'en som mig, 
er at han aldrig fik et nej,
men ingen af dem så de løgne, 
der lå bag hans dådyrøjne.

Sådan ku' det ha' været endnu idag, 
hvis ikke det havde været for en lille sag,
han blev forelsket i hende, 
men hun bad ham skrubbe af.
Denne gang var det faktisk ham der var på'n, 
han ku' ikke klare hendes hån.
Han fandt ud af at hjerte 
også rimer på smerte.

Hvorfor de kaldte ham dumme svin, 
forstod han da han smagte den medicin,
hun gav ham af samme skuffe, 
som han havde brugt så ofte.
