Featuring Travis Porter De Leon on drumkit, Kevin Njikm on keys and guitar, Jared May on bass and Mama Crow on lyrics, main vox and harmonies. These musicians played LIVE for about 2 years in and amongst the Bay Area from 2009-2011. Before traveling to Hawaii, Mama Crow got in the studio with the band @ SERA PHI STUDIOS in the Mission to document this musical era.  

The content of this song is a true story of how to overcome hardships from the past and to consciously choose light in every moment. This song acknowledges the shared human truth of adversity yet focuses on overcoming all challenges regardless how dark the shadow to live an awakened life of empowerment. We wrote this song 4 years ago and its meaning is even more poignant. it's about the pending natural disaster of the Cascadian Subduction Zone shifting off the coast of Oregon and causing a catastrophic earthquake that could end us all in the NW. The world is currently overtaken by greed and money and natural disasters. As we wrote this song, we imagined a good hearted couple surviving the disaster, starting over from scratch and rebuilding their lives with their own 2 hands, and this time greed doesn't win, and a different world is born. It's interesting to hear this song so stripped down as just a duo, i think it's more about the story this way. ~ Laurie Shook
