RAST's debut "Across West 3rd Street" was the real life tale of a reformed Drug Dealer/Gang member turned MC. RAST's honest lyrics tell the tale of his real life run-ins, and how he turned his life around. His third full length "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" is his first time working with legendary underground producers 7L. The album is full of hard hitting beats by the Czar Keys (7L & Jeremy Page), and rapid fire accounts of a real life gangster turned family man. This is real underground NYC hip hop at it's finest. Gritty tracks about street life and reform told by someone that lived it. Real shit. The LP is 500 press (450 standard black vinyl, 50 orange colored vinyl), housed in a full color LP jacket. Over the horn and guitar driven track Rediculus provides, Frank weaves a creative narrative that entails the experiences of being a real true New Yorker who lives in the city that never sleeps all while being scorched by the brutal summer heat. The track’s smooth vibe brings forth a cool summer breeze of beautiful things to see throughout the train hopping, ferry riding and every day grinding life of a New Yorker through the life and eyes of Frank Knight.

“New York Summer” is the first single off the upcoming album “Ghetto Psalms of the Knight”.  Ghetto Psalms is produced by Rediculus and shows Frank discussing life from the lens of his life since the shift in the country a few years ago.

As the final teaser off their upcoming ‘Immortal Titans’ LP, Tragedy Khadafi & BP team up with Connecticut’s finest, Apathy, to deliver snarling bully raps on the hard-hitting “Mastermind.”

The New York duo and their guest are also joined by Long Island legend DJ Stitches, whose scratched hook more than makes this cipher complete. He drops in venomous quotes from Hip-Hop royalty that serve to properly punch-up the brutal no-bullsh*t raps of Trag and Ap, who absolutely kill it with back-to-back verses.

Beyond the wordplay and slick quotables, though, these two emcees just sound focused and hungry at a time when so many other so-called rappers would simply phone in their verses and call it a day. But Trag and Ap aren’t your typical rappers, of course, and they simply body the beat from BP, whose combination of strings, piano keys, and drums is pure mayhem.
