Dope Jo, member of the acclaimed "Twisted America" portuguese duo 'Stereo Soldiers', was always connected with music. At the age of 15 he began to play drums, reaching some important goals in the portuguese music's industry. Funk, Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop and Soul were his major influences.
Because of his connection with drums, percussion instruments and basslines, his passion for House music was about to start. The music's scene was living its best time, and it wasn't difficult to absorb all the big House influences.
As a Deejay he has played in Spain and all over Portugal, with names such as Andy Butler (Hercules and Love Affair), Superchumbo, Angel Moraes, Jeff Mills, Peace Division, Rob di Stefano and more.
Music production was his next step. He started to join all his music's influences into his computer.
After he knew Alph, the two dj/producers decided to create the 'Stereo Soldiers' project. The sound which emerged from them can best be described as a fusion of tech and progressive house, mixed with various other musical styles.
They've got a massive feedback and support on their original tracks and remixes, which brought them to the international dance scene. Danny Tenaglia, Tom Stephan, Behrouz, Chus &amp; Ceballos, D-Formation, Oscar G and Lula, are just some of the top names that constantly support their work. 
His first solo Ep, entitled "It's Dope! Ep" is already out at the main digital stores. The release can be described as "punchy dope synths, textures and fat groovy drum beats".
