Nick Scofield continues to craft a sound of his own. Centered around a backbone of sturdy grooves, he explores realms of melodies both retro and futuristic. With a pair of appearances on our Tales of Romance series, as well as the timeless Highway 1 EP gracing TOR last year, Scofield has built a hearty foundation in the early stages of his journey. As we venture into the new year, we are thrilled to have Scofield back on board for his second full project on the imprint - the Foggy Night EP.

The project’s namesake opens the show in scintillating fashion. Drenched in percussive persistence, rhythmic rotations instantly frame the groove on Foggy Night. Eastern strings provide a lush melody, while ominous synthetics elevate energy throughout this heady cut from Scofield.

Zagroutah keeps the organic rhythms flowing, while a classic house groove nudges us towards the light. Afro-tinged influences come to the fore from the early stages, while an electro-synth hook surprises the senses. A delightful flute performance is the cherry on top of this one, which cohesively checks all the boxes; a tune for the true groovers.

Closing out this sumptuous trio is Opulence. Low-slung drums get the vibe rolling, as Nick harnesses deviant deep tones through punchy synth stabs and a tripped-out vocal chop. Look no further, this EP succinctly summarizes the Scofield sound.

The veteran Brazilian producer Gui Boratto has always had a way with musicality and drama in his music.

This EP for Zatar displays a lot of the things we have come to expect from him - rich instrumentation, lots of melody, and a deep, emotional take on dance music.

The original version Déjeuner Sur L ́Herbe combines a chugging groove with pianos, guitars and thick bass - a full movie sound- track in one piece.

CIOZ and Fairplay provide the remix duties for the 2nd version, teasing out the ele- ments over 8 and a half minutes, and twis- ting it into a psychedelic epic.

Johannes Albert also provides a rework, dialing into a more machine funk vibe while letting the groove breathe.

As Marc Romboy and his Systematic label reach 25 legendary years of operation, they call on Bosnian DJ & producer Sinisa Tamamovic to close off what has been a pivotal year for the album. Sinisa’s output on prestigious labels over the years leads to there being no surprise the artist and label have found a perfect match here. Classy house sounds, and innovative strains of techno lead the way in this eleven track masterpiece rounding up this milestone Systematic year. 

“Echoes of Dawn is a musical journey created without borders, driven purely by feeling and the desire to explore sound in any territory without aiming for a specific genre. It reflects a freedom in music creation, where each track was allowed to evolve naturally over time.

Balanced and Sunrise were both recorded live through spontaneous studio jams, experimenting with decay, filters, and modular synthesiser sounds. These tracks found their place in my sets, often used to balance the mood during late-night or after-hours moments. The entire album spans many years, with some tracks dating back to 2013, only reaching their final form recently.

This project represents more than just dancefloor moments. It’s a deep, personal expression of evenings and mornings spent crafting sound, whatever felt right in the moment. Lead to the Chords, Say It, Mindset, and 2Ms bring energy to the dancefloor, while tracks like Modular Mornings and Afternoon Jazz are designed for more introspective, home listening experiences.

As part of the infamous production duo, Cosmic Cowboys, he’s well known for passionate output on labels such as Compost, Rotary Cocktail, Bedrock, and many more. After his successful solo debut on Lee Burridge’s Get Weird label, the Italian artist presents his second solo EP on Patrick Zigon’s freshly launched Traumraum imprint.

The Endless Story EP is inspired by Kaled’s home base, the beautiful lagoon of Venice: a true fairy- tale area known for amazing landscapes and natural spectacles bridging air, water, and sun. The EP catapults you directly into Kaled’s emotional cosmos full of scents and colors, letting you hover over the Venetian sea and vault into the blue sky. Eventually transforming into a trademark Venice sunset - when the sun warms the spirits as they traverse the darkness of night - truly magical things take place; as the noise leaves room for silence, spirits fly towards the infinite again.

Original track was a big hit on acid trance and psychedelic parties in the mid 90's. It was released on the legendary label Choci's Chewns. I always loved this magic tune but was not able to play it in my sets because of its 'expressiveness'. In 2009 Solar Quest came to Moscow's Ketama cafe with his live set - he started to make downtempo stuff like many acid and trance producers at that time. We've agreed that we make a remix for his classic 90's anthem Acid Baba. 10 years later with Thierry Tomas and Andrey Burtaev (Electrosoul System) we've finally made a remix which sounds great on the dancefloors nowadays.
