Ever since Animal Trainer launched their global party campaign, the Swiss duo’s unique brand of ‘slow rave’ has captured the imaginations of countless electronic music lovers all over the world and spread their gospel to thousands, if not millions, of music lovers. Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson are the two men behind Animal Trainer, a dynamic duo which grew up on a diet of the world’s very best electronic music artists in their hometown, Zurich. Driven by passion for the music and an insatiable appetite for the party, Adrian and Samy have become two of the hottest properties on the international circuit and represent the epitome of what Switzerland’s new generation of artists has to offer. Raised in a city with arguably the strongest club scene in Switzerland, Animal Trainer made their name through a series of parties called ‘Rakete’, which still take place at the infamous Hive club. The duo had already spent some time refining their skills as DJs before launching the event, but their sterling reputation was cemented at the club. It was only a matter of time before the ambitious duo pushed things a step further by injecting their love and passion into creating their own music. In the years since their first release Animal Trainer have maintained a constant focus on high quality club music, staying relevant when others have followed the hype, and evolving into a force to be reckoned with. Also known for his energy behind the decks, over the years he has performed in different clubs and bars, having the honor of sharing the booth with renowned artists such as Sebastian Busto and Nebula(AR).

100 schwindelerregende Runden im Igelkarussell🌀; da kommt einiges zusammen…seit rund 4 einhalb Jahren betreiben wir nun schon unsere Podcastserie, die stets weiterentwickelt wurde. Anfangs eher auf die Locals in Mittelhessen fokussiert, erweiterte sich das Spektrum auf Towndempo Künstler*innen quer durch die Republik und darüber hinaus. Wir feiern mit euch und dem wunderbaren Rolandson gemeinsam unser 100tes Podcastjubiläum!🎊 

Tja, wo soll man da nur anfangen? Eigentlich ganz klar, dass wir seine Vita hier kaum adäquat abbilden können, aber hier zumindest ein kleiner Versuch: Groovy since 1994 erfreut er regelmäßig euphorisch tanzende Meuten und hat seiner Passion niemals den Rücken gekehrt. Nein ganz im Gegenteil, er hat seinem Spieltrieb nach knapp 30 Jahren niemals aufgehört zu folgen. Denn ihm dabei besonders wichtig, der Intuition und der Spielfreude zu folgen anstatt nur ewig gleichbleibende Erwartungen zu bedienen. Seine simple Philosophie dahinter lautet daher: Einfach machen!

Samstagmorgen, halb 8 in der früh,beim Abriss vor dem Abriss - denn in knapp 24 Stunden wird der temporär genutzte KellerClub der Vergangenheit angehören - beginnt Rolandson  sein closing set zu seiner liebsten Playtime. Es ist ein spezielles Set wie er uns verrät: Viele der Anwesenden waren bereits bei der von ihm bespielten Eröffnung des Clubs dabei und wurden in den letzten Monaten und darüber hinaus zu engen Freunden. Nun tanzen sie wieder einmal hier unten - in dem Keller, irgendwo in München. Er bespielt und beschließt den ersten Teil vom 2 Nächte-Closings, welcher durch das „Discotheque Royal“ Kollektiv organisiert worden ist, bevor dann in der Nacht 2 die Crew um „Maison Almedina“ mit ihren DJs für einen weiteren Abriss zum Abriss sorgen wird.  Er wird ca. 5 Stunden spielen und die Tracks auf den 3 Playern rauf- und runterpitchen, immer wieder nen Rewind zum Vorwärtsspulen einbauen oder beim rückwärts spielen schneller werden - alle 3 Kanäle offen haben und einfach mit allen viel Spaß haben. Alle wollen bleiben, Keiner mag gehen, zu sehr treibt der Bass und die kollektive Stimmung ist zu euphorisch um diesen temporär genutzten Raum einfach so zu verlassen - somit präsentiert euch der Spulenigel ein verspult treibendes … , ja was eigentlich? … ein Rolandson-Set, ein Closing-Set der Rolandson’schen Art oder doch ne treibende Afterhour-Nummer - auf jeden Fall einen seiner seltenen Mitschnitte, denn eines ist ihm nach all den Jahren immer wieder wichtig: es zählt, was im Club passiert. Dort, wo freie Entfaltung machbar und so verdammt wichtig ist und wo du als DJ machen kannst, wonach dir der Sinn und die Laune steht und wozu die 3 Arme und verknoteten Finger in der Lage zu sind - denn, Musik, egal wie alt und neu und schnell und langsam sie ist, ist zum Spielen da - und die Player ein facettenreiches Spielzeug. Freut euch auf 2,5 Stunden verspult, verspielte - knapp daneben und doch gemixte Tracks a la Rolandson in unserem 100ten Igelkarussell.

I first got to know Sangeet back in 2017 when I first started discovering the beautiful music within the 100bpm (+/- 10) range. Playing his tracks on my very first SOLmundo episodes released on Lump Records in the Australian bush.

Sangeet is no stranger to the scene, and his productions are widely known amongst established and underground artists who play/produce music within this range. His productions have been on prominent labels such as Lump Records, Pipe & Pochet, MONADA, Shango, Kosa Records, and more.

Treibend und rumpelnd, schlammig und funkelnd - versumpft mit uns krüglich und lauschet dem Sumpfophon. Eine Reise beginnt, die Krüge sprießen, Äuglein schließen, Öhrchen spitzen. Der Sumpf ist unruhig, Schallwellen treiben ihr Unwesen.

Das Talent frisch unter den Nagel gerissen wie ein Nagelbett, gehen seine Sets unter die Haut oder eigentlich unter den Nagel, denn dafür hat er ein Händchen oder besser gesagt einen musikalisch grünen Daumen, welcher auch ohne Nagelscheere die Cuts präzise setzt und somit den Nagel auf den Kopf trifft. 
Versumpft und zugenagelt, im fröstlichen Nagelhagel strickt die Nigelnadel uns flauschige Socken, welche uns kuschelig durch den Winter bringen!

Die Nachtigall der Sümpfe zwitschert uns das Lied der Nigelungensaga und diese schreibt sich in den Worten von Nigel Nagel höchst persönlich wie folgt:

Im dichten Schleier der nächtlichen Finsternis erwacht der Sumpf zu einem geheimnisvollen Konzert, dessen Töne sich wie der verzweifelte Ruf der Nachtigall durch die unheimlichen Wassermassen schlängeln. Die düsteren Klänge der Natur formen eine beunruhigende Melodie. Das Summen der Insekten wird von schaurigen Seufzern begleitet. In dieser unheilvollen Sumphonie wirkt der „Notnagel" der Nachtigall wie ein einsamer Schrei in der Dunkelheit, der den Sumpf mit einem Hauch von Verzweiflung erfüllt.

Heute ist schnuppo unser, akustischer Reisebegleiter und geleitet uns durch die magischen Weiten der Downtempo Landschaft. Die wärmenden Sonnenstrahlen im Rücken und der beruhigende, blaue Himmel am Horizont, erschaffen gemeinsam mit der Musik eine malerisch-orchestrale Idylle. 
Die rhythmischen Klänge beleben meine Phantasie und meine Gedanken schweifen ab. Vor meinem inneren Auge zerfließt die vorbeihuschende Vegetation zu einem vibrierenden und wabernden, grünlichen Schemen. In dieser Masse tauchen von Zeit zu Zeit Muster auf. In Sekundenbruchteilen werden aus Rechtecken Kreise, diese wiederum verlaufen zu einer Pyramide, welche elegant um die eigene Achse zirkuliert. Dieses Formen & Farbspiel ist untrennbar eingebettet in die säuselnd-betäubende Musik von schnuppo. Diese Reise ist phantastischer als jeder Fantasy-Roman und lehrreicher als ein Sachbuch. 

schnuppo ist neben seiner Tätigkeit als DJ, selbst ein Podcast Betreiber auf unserer allseits beliebten Sound Wolke. Gemeinsam mit einem guten Freund betreibt er den in Österreich beheimateten Channel down. Dort veröffentlichte Tracks & Sets erreichen vier- bis fünfstellige Abrufzahlen und spielen auch qualitativ gesehen ganz oben mit.

Our dear Berlin based sound wizard Mikal, shaped a colorful MONADA BRAHMA 026 which will magically revive our mandatory paused bodys and revitalize us with his rhythmic sounds. 
We met Mikal the first time a couple of years ago at one of the legendary Spitzi garden parties for Berlin big kids. ;) It's been a crazy and fun weekend filled with amazing music acts, free spirits and lovely souls.. just like Mikal himself who nourished us there with a spontaneous bum shaking and deep driving downtempo set. 
The DJ and vinyl lover who always finds ways to excite and heat up the lively dance floors for Berlin's sweetest fairies & craziest unicorns, loves to surf the outer spaces of deep, organic and elegant grooving sound waves, chasing eclectic tracks and sweet melodies that empower our inner dancer and let our soul spread its wings to fly into the mysterious and unexplored.

Mikal's cover art is provided by Radka Tiarksova and her visionairy art project Radka Soulart. We believe that a combination of different styles of art will allow our senses to expand, feel & see the whole picture within. The name of this beautiful piece is 'Decide To Life'.
And that's the key message of this chapter – Decide to life - no matter what the world comes up with, don't forget life and its preciousness. Don't let yourself be distracted from the game and concentrate tirelessly on your dreams. Let's keep life alive in all it's facetts & colorfulness - that's the true mission!

Mikal: „I`m a plant wizard and DJ from Berlin. I like a wide spectrum of sounds. I listened to many kinds of music even before I was born. That was also the time I quit drugs and music remained my only one. I enjoyed it a lot to do the Monada Mix (Thanks heaps to the Monada tribe for having me and keeping me up ;). I planned the mix as a foggy downtempo one, but the flow took me continuously towards one for the dancing feet. Hope much u will enjoy it.
