David Martin, known professionally as Dave Glizz is a multi-talented Canadian artist who specializes in a variety of musical categories. He is an Emcee, Singer, Engineer, Producer & Songwriter. Born April 5, 1992 in Toronto, Ontario his passion for music started off in the church as most do. He was was easily influenced by the sound of it and the feeling it gives you so much that Dave started to create music at the early age of 5 years old. He would then recite songs in front of a congregation over 300 people routinely preparing himself for stardom. As he got older he realized the promise in his talent and started to record professionally in (2017) releasing his first album titled "In Due Time". This album was dedicated to where he came from. Growing up in one of the most notorious neighborhoods in Canada, Rexdale was a place statistically known for gun violence, drug distribution & poverty. Using that motivation to his advantage, those same limitations wasn't something that discouraged his drive, it allowed him to use his experiences to shed light on his situations hoping his audience could find glaring similarities reflecting on their own lives. Dave found a way to connect with people through his music, understanding the influence he has was something he was self-conscience about. Going through adversity inspired him to be more transparent with his fans. The lessons that life teaches you is catastrophic, you can either learn from them or continue to repeat the things that hold you back. Realizing that mantra helped shape his mentality and allowed him to focus on the joy of creating music. In (2020) he released his sophomore album titled "Product of My Environment" this body of work was an example of pushing through your limitations. Each song individually shares a distinct message explaining the significance of working on yourself regardless of your circumstances. P.O.M.E showed Dave's prominence. Effortlessly crossing over from the Hip-Hop genre to R&B genre was something we've been able to see more frequently. It gives his viewers a taste of how versatile he can truly be. Far from a finished product, the feeling of satisfactory always lingered. He wanted to solidify his status as an emerging musician, something epic was missing from his discography. Transcending past his own expectations & surpassing others, in (2021) Dave announced the debut of his third album "Legend" which was released on the last day of the year. This project epitomized hard work & dedication. Experimenting with his vocal uniqueness, we were able to witness his multifaceted capabilities. To date Dave Glizz has 3 albums & his latest single "Skrtt Off" added to his extraordinary catalog. Now working on his 4th major project, with well known producers & artists. His fans anticipate another outstanding body of work.
